“Beautiful old house circa1822. So cozy and decorated all Christmasy. I’ve hosted private parties here, but tonight was an evening with a couple of friends. We started with a beer cheese appetizer. My husband had sea bass. I can’t order anything, but fried chicken when I come here. Their other dishes temp me, but their chicken is so perfect it’s what I always order. I had hot slaw for my side. The chicken comes with mashed potatoes The best part is that I have fried chicken for lunch tomorrow. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Northern Kentucky for its quality of food and the warm ambiance.”

“We came to El Trumpo last minute with a party of 18 people for a birthday celebration, and they absolutely nailed it. From the moment we walked in, the staff our server was Jenny, everyone was welcoming, organized, and genuinely happy to accommodate our large group without prior notice — not an easy task, but they made it look effortless. The service was fast, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Our server managed to keep everything straight — drinks, appetizers, mains — and checked in regularly without ever making us feel rushed. That alone deserves praise. Now the food: amazing. Everything from the chips and salsa to the sizzling fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, and margaritas was flavorful and fresh. Several people at our table commented that it was the best Mexican food they’ve had in a long time. The portions were generous and the presentation was great, even with such a large group. Bonus points for the festive atmosphere — perfect for a birthday party. They even brought out a birthday dessert and joined in singing, which made the night extra special. Can’t recommend this place enough for both small dinners and big celebrations. Well definitely be returning!”

“Amazing food and staff. I had the chicken thali which had two chicken dishes, rice, 4 slices of naan(ask for the garlic naan) and a cucumber tomato salad. If you don’t know that much about Indian cuisine ask the manager. He suggested the ginger chicken which I will try the next time I go.”

“Super cute and cozy place! Friendly staff and really good, smooth coffee. They have a fun latte menu and for the fall selection, I chose Sleepy Hollow, a maple praline latte. Delightful! A great little spot I'm glad I found this morning before traveling for meetings!”

“I knew it would be a cool place when the door knobs were gas pumps. Everything was detailed down to the napkin rings. It lived up to its name for sure. The food was amazing! Our waitress Cozy, I can't say enough about her. She had the best personality, super sweet and when we had decided what we wanted she definitely told us about our choices, like how they are prepared, what they come with and if she had tried them herself. “Found this little gem tonight. If you haven’t been…GO! I believe it is currently just take out or delivery, but take out was all we needed. First the lady who greeted me at the door was cute as a button and just as sweet! I ordered the sesame chicken, golden noodles, and crab puffs to bring home for dinner. Plenty of food for two with LOTS left over for lunch. If had A LOT of sesame chicken in my time, this was one of the BEST I’ve had! Go check them out! I only wish I would have gotten a tea!”
