Freak’n best dang food I’ve had on this trip! This is a place you should not miss. The food is spectacularly flavored and presented. The chef knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend.
I come to Irie Jamaican Kitchen once a week, and it’s always a solid choice for a Jamaican food fix. While there are more authentic spots in Cleveland, this place has become a staple in Akron.
The flavors are consistently good, and the portions are satisfying. Highly recommended for everyone. Very clean and tasteful interior design.

It was a little curious walking in because I didn’t really know what Jamaican food was. The staff was very helpful, making recommendations and letting me try things. It turned out that everything was delicious and it was a hard choice just to pick one thing! I have had plantains before, but never like this. The jerk chicken was a little spicy, and the savory chicken was well, savory. It was a weeknight and not terribly busy so I got a little extra time interacting the staff,...
