Iconic Akron. The mashed potato grilled cheese sandwich is my favorite. Great wedge salad too with their white French dressing is a great alternative or the beet salad. One of the only places you can get tater tots too!
A nice, dive bar restaurant with very friendly staff. Went for lunch, so I wasn't going to try the long list of drinks they have but based on the list, I'd go back if I was downtown for a game or event in the area. My tomato soup was delicious but I did gamble on the grilled cheese with cactus (yes, real cactus!). Overall my grilled cheese wasnt bad but at some point the cactus was a little too much, but I was glad I tried something new (and the 15 other grilled cheeses looked...read full review

The lockview is a hidden grilled cheese shop in the heart of Akron. While this place isn't flashy or fancy, they make some awesome variations on grilled cheese, and has a full bar with large of beers on tap. My favorite on the menu isn't actually a grilled cheese but the beet and arugula salad. So good. Everyone here is super nice, too.
