I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, the official capital of everything Tex-Mex. The food at Don Pancho's is authentic Tex-Mex, and very good. Except for the fact that the staff is not Mexican and does not speak Mexican, it is just like a Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. And it is much better than the food at Jalisco.
I enjoy this local restaurant on occasion. They have a good selection of food choices and drinks. I typically enjoy having their Flautas Dinner.During my last visit it was a warm day and they had no a/c running, only ceiling fans, so it was a little too warm in the restaurant. I'm not sure if the a/c was broke or if they just don't have a/c but will keep the weather in mind for future visits.
This is such a great place to eat. The only place in town that you can get lunch or dinner all day. The breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday for only $11 is really good. Excellent service by staff as well. Cozy atmosphere.
