“Edith was MAGICAL. She had many tables but it literally felt we were the only ones. I didn't have to ask for a THING. She kept up on drinks before I could even ask for a refill. She was just so kind and really patient!! She is a 10 star server forsure!! The food was great and the quickness but freshness of everything was great!!!“

“Their food is usually very good, but this last time I stopped to get breakfast on my way home from working 10 hours on 3rd shift, I got an egg breakfast and they were so runny I couldn't even eat that much of them. The hash browns were hard, like they weren't cooked all the way through. I've definitely had better food there in the past so I'm not sure what's going on with them right now, or if it was just the person they had cooking the food that day.“

“Took my neighbors on Friday for fish. They had never been to Hazel’s before. We all had the fish dinner and it was delicious. We were extremely happy with the size of the portions. Everything was delicious. The price was great for the 3 seniors and we all agreed that we would be eating there more.Good place to eat and great service!“

“The food is really good. I am a great cook, so I expect food as good as mine. The turkey, gravy and real mashed potatoes are really good. Or, you can get roast beef instead. The ground beef in their double cheeseburgs is soooo tasty. I saved the best for last. They have home made onion rings to die for. You will have to go early, as they close at 3. “I've been her twice. The food is very much "home" cook. The cod. grits, simple salad, breakfast is amazingly delicious. This place is a hidden gem in Lorain. I will definitely make this my go-to place when I dont feel like cooking and I want a home cook meal.“

“I placed a to-go order and this experience could have easily been a five-star experience if not for the careless disregard of certain servers. I asked for marmalade specifically and gave emphasis to this and did not find it in my bags. They forgot to give me the slice of pie I ordered and paid for. I also asked right before I left if there were utensils (spoon, fork, & knife) for my orders and without checking my bags, the server who got it ready said everything was in there. I guess I could have checked myself, but it's quite inconvenient to unpack everything especially since there's not a lot of room to do so. And quite honestly, if I did that, I probably would have gotten some mean stares. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but unfortunately, this has happened quite a bit. And I would like to say that there are a lot of good servers there as well who cares enough to do their best. The sad thing also is that I give a tip even when it's to go because I know they work hard and I trust that I am going to get what I ordered. So, why do I still go there, you ask? It's because the food IS good. It would be a great place if it weren't for those bad experiences . And no, I'm not expecting for my butt to be "kissed", just what I paid for.“

“We had my daughters baby shower here and were extremely happy. The food was great and the room was perfect. Very easy to book with lots of options to fit any budget. The staff was excellent and very accomodating. Thank you Pat and staff for making my daughter's day perfect!“
