“Food was good. It's hard to mess up breakfast, lol.Service is what earned the stars. The young lady was genuinely kind and attentive. A 'real' family restaurant (her uncle came in to work as I was leaving, and was friendly as well!!)“
“Everything was excellent, very traditional restaurant, great prices , good salad bar , one of the best soups the veggies and beef soup ,The ladies gave us an amazing service , the only thing they should fix is the sirloin steak, it was grounded meat , it has a good flavor but it was grounded meat, but again I guess I can’t get better for the price.“
“Stopped in at 12:30 PM for lunch. Got seated immediately.Service was great. It was nice to have a happy server.First I had the matzoh ball soup it was very good. Main course , I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. The serving portion was the full dish size and it was delicious and the price was right. They do have a senior portion prices menu.By the time we were leaving the place was packed againParking: The restaurant parking lot is very small but it adjoins to a larger parking lot. That is also free.Wheelchair accessibility: Have someone open the door for you and you can roll right in everything is on a ground level“
“Just stopped at the hot dog diner to grab a quick bite for dinner, I’ve had the hot dogs before but I tried a burger this time and I was so impressed. The Texas burger was better than swensons and honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Very impressed.“
“Steve’s was diner was my fav mom’s and pops place. But I been here a few times ever since Steve’s closed and this is my new favorite spot ! The food is delicious, they are kid friendly and even give out crayons and coloring pages which is so nice for kids to relax and color. The kids menu is nice and the kids meals are huge ! Breakfast is amazing. Larger portions. My new favorite spot. I will be taking my family here. Love Gabe’s and the employees are amazing and friendly !“
“What a perfect breakfast! On our way to the airport and stopped for some food. CFS, biscuits, gravy, French toast, pancakes, eggs, country potatoes, ALL perfect and amazing. Can't imagine being more satisfied with a diner breakfast.Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere“
“Went to eat here whilst traveling & it didn't disappoint! The portions were big, tasty, & priced fairly. There's a review that says a woman was yelling at her staff & teenage customers--I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT. I've eaten there a few times & it's been GOOD FOOD AND GOOD VIBES, there's no way a business-owner, especially in a public setting and post-lockdown, would just flip out. Something fishy going on. Anyway, I love that spot ?“
“Their food is SO good. This is exactly what I’ve been searching for since moving here from Texas. I could eat the salsa verde by the spoonful. We got papusas, tacos (shrimp and chicken), and a steak burrito bowl. Everything was so good and the burrito bowl was huge. Will definitely go again.“
“Ma & pa type place. Friendly staff, nothing super notable. Can get a fast, cheap breakfast that's good. It's more of a neighborhood restaurant than a destination.Kid-friendliness: Ma & pa place, kids will be fine.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a little tight if it's busy, otherwise you'll be fine.“
“Corn beef hash and eggs . The corn beef is delicious by itself self ! Wanted something that was easy to eat . My husband had a club sandwich and my daughter had eggplant parmesan both said that they were great daughter was impressed because the eggplant was not soggy when she got it.“
“The red chimney is my favorite place for breakfast food. The staff here is always so nice and they are hard workers. The owner is always here he’s a super nice guy, overall a really nice family-owned diner with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!“
“We were in Cleveland sightseeing, and I looked up family restaurants. This one had great reviews and has been in business for a good long time. It didn't disappoint. The food was great, and the portions were great, too. The staff treated you like you were from the neighborhood. If you are ever in the area, stop in!!!“
“First time there on St Patrick’s Day. Open til 7 pm today (sign said it usually closes at 3 except for their fish fry day.) $1 green beer. Corned beef sandwich piled high. Lean and delicious. Greek omelet with a generous amount of feta. Spotlessly clean, staff friendly, attentive service. Will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Breakfast all day. Large selection of omelets; basic but fresh salad bar; and veggie perogies.“
“Great neighborhood place to grab breakfast or lunch. This place is clean and the staff is attentive. I highly recommend the Banana Pecan Pancakes... yum! They must have a good exhaust fan because you don't smell like breakfast when you leave.“
“We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Despite the place being packed, no one waited long for a table. Katherine's also has a group of regulars which always means the food is consistently good and the prices reasonable. Our breakfast was hot and tasty. Katherine's is on our list to return to.“
“First time here & wish I had discovered Steve's sooner. Awesome neighborhood spot that buzzed even midweek. Staff was lovely, very attentive and the service was freaky fast. Food is fresh made to order & you can really tell! Will repeat.“
“Old outdated building but where isn’t this the case nowadays? What matters is their French toast and home fries are amazing. Nice and crispy and full of gosh darn amazing flavor. GOTTDAMBrekkie all the way. Never had lunch here tho *shrug*“
“I love this place. I have brought several coworkers here and they also enjoyed there meal. The soul rolls and mac and cheese are my favorite. I also like the greens and cabbage! The yam pudding is also so delicious that I get it almost every time! This is not a fast food place so there will be a wait that's well worth it . The staff is courteous and friendly! The place clean and has seating if you want to dine in. I will be back and I encourage anyone who likes the home cooked meal appeal to your lunch or dinner on the go to check them out!“
“This is a great place to grab something to eat for a reasonable price. The food is awesome and you can sit down and eat. They offer breakfast and lunch, I don't know about dinner. ?Most likely. The waitresses are very pleasant and don't keep you waiting for extended periods.Vegetarian options: They offer veggie items on the menuKid-friendliness: They have items on the menu for kids to order.“
“If you're a fan of cheap Diner food like I am, this place is a great little stop. The prices are great and the meals are nicely portioned home cooking kind of meals. Building is definitely older and could probably do with some love, but I've also definitely seen far worse quality places. Service was a little on the slow side for a two person table, but they also had a large party eating and only appeared to have two waitress on at the time. Overall, I had a great time, and I'd definitely stop in again.“
“It's clean however very homey. The food is amazing I have eaten here twice and both times I cleaned my plate. The owners are extremely kind. Service was fast even though the place was little full. I went on Mothers Day weekend it was really affordable also. Great breakfast“
“The food is DELICIOUS! Service is friendly and they do an amazing job with such a small staff. If you have no patience, this might not be the place for you, but if you have time to sit down and sip some coffee while you wait for amazing food to hit your plate... Go to The Coffee Pot! You won't be disappointed.“
“I love this place! I went here pretty frequently since I worked nearby. I finally took my children about 2 years ago because I love it. The prices are nice. The food is awesome. The workers actually speak to you, check on you, and in my case, often remembered me because I came frequently. I haven't returned since taking my kids but I plan to.“
“Haven't been here in years. Stopped in around noon on a Thursday. Excellent service. Great food and pie. $50 for two sandwiches with fries, two ice teas and two slices of pie not including the tip.Parking: Lots of spots available in front of and around the restaurant.“
“I had the Wildfire chicken salad. There was less chicken than I recall but a great mix of lettuce, spinach, corn, tortilla strips and the wildfire dressing. The signature banana bread was really moist and good. And, Lexi was an awesome server.“
“Visiting from out of town and I picked this just from Google. It's a fairly small family restaurant. We ate breakfast. The pancakes were tasty and fluffy. My wife had eggs, ham and hash browns. The food came quickly and the waitress was super friendly“
“I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Every Sunday after mass, we would have breakfast at the Whip. The specials are always affordable, the coffee is always hot, and the lovely ladies who work there are always smiling and offering their latest and best service. I remember Linda, and Stella still as amazing as ever. And the breakfast IS AMAZING. Thank you for keeping my inner child and adult self smiling and fed. Please don't ever change.“
“The fried chicken was delicious. Our poor waitress did not have anyone helping her in her section. I don't know if someone called off or what. She did provide very good service under the circumstances. Also, when we arrived, it took a while for someone to seat my wife and I, even though we were the only ones in line.“
“Simply As Good As It Gets..!! As 1st time customers,my Wife and I were amazed at being greeted with a "Old School Family Diner Return To Da' Past"..!!
