Very good food, fast and friendly service, easy access, a great downtown Ashland asset. It’s really cool to watch staff members at work in the kitchen. Give ‘em a try!
The food is horrible. Not recommended at all.
To begin, the staff were very friendly and eager to serve their customers.
Now for my thoughts on this place, the dinning room is filthy. I know it's closed because of COVID-19, but that's no excuse. The half wall as you enter was gritty with dirt and felt disgusting, and the coverings over some of the tables were visibilly dusty. It did not present a good first impression.

The staff works hard to get your food quickly, and the boy who works the cash register is very friendly, polite, and helpful. The dining area could use some cleaning and a fresh coat of paint, but the food remains the main draw. The owners are friendly and remember regular customers. Favorites include General Tso's chicken, which is perfect and covered in sauce, along with beef and broccoli, orange chicken with slivers of orange peels, dumplings, and the best veggie roll ever. They also offer good vegetarian options. While the fried rice was not cooked completely and was crunchy, the regular white rice is a better choice. The only downside is that the restaurant can be a bit cold. Overall, Main Moon is a great spot for tasty Chinese dishes with fast, friendly service and easy access, making it a valuable asset in downtown Ashland.
