Not your typical Mexican restaurant. No brightly colored anything. This may be because the building was previously an IHOP and not redecorated.While all this may sound like criticism, it really is just the opposite. We found the atmosphere to be more relaxed allowing you to focus on your dinner partner and your meal.Intentional or not... It works for us.Service was excellent. Unrushed. We had drinks which were generous yet reasonably priced. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty.Our questions about menu items were carefully explained making selecting new things for the meal a pleasure.The food was also excellent. It was hot, nicely presented and portions were generous.Will most definitely go back!
Absolutely delicious food. It was quite full on a Thursday yet we were seated quickly and the service was excellent. The food was delicious as well, shrimp tacos and the steak+ chicken enchilada combo.

Their menu boasts a vast selection of delicious Mexican dishes and awesome cocktails along with excellent table service! Enjoy pleasant Mexican music while dining. Great service, friendly, comfortable. Just not many vegan options and the beans are cooked in lard.Vegetarian options: There are some options, not sure about the shared cooking oils and pans. Not real vegan conscious but there are vegetables and margaritas are good.

Best fajita bowl I've ever had. A lot of love was put into the interior design. It feels authentic yet modern and clean. Service was good, price was fair. I read these are the same owners as the Lakewood Cozumel, which we also enjoy, but I think Mezquite is even better!
