This is a legendary place in Berea. Definitely divey. Lots of character inside. A great sized bar and the grill is right behind, so you can watch your food get made. A beer and shot kinda place. Come for the drinks and stay for the people watching. Good mix of older folks and college aged.
My wife and I wandered into this place on a Sunday night after a concert at Baldwin-Wallace University. Nothing else was open and we weren't sure what we would find. What we found was an incredibly welcoming place. The kitchen was closed so we ordered drinks, which were fantastic. After talking with the bartender, and sharing our respective heritages of Poland and Alabama, he kindly fired up the grill and prepared a special batch of pierogis. They were the best pierogis...
Randomly we stopped off and were introduced to the awesome vibe of this place. Polish flags, tchotchke, and random decor greeted us. Food was awesome. Super friendly dude named Jamal (happy birthday !) came in and started buying everyone drinks. We got into a bit of a music duel, he insisted that I play songs on the jukebox.
Wish I wasn’t just passing through. Great place.
