My brother was healed of kidney cancer there in around 1956. He lived nearly 60 more years, becoming a Medical Technologist.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation is a holy place of healing and prayer. Visitors can enroll in the Confraternity of Our Lady of Consolation after 11 am mass and receive a blessing with a relic of the Cross. The shrine features beautiful decorations, especially during Christmas, and a lower level with remarkable exhibits. Afterward, visitors can enjoy great food at Sandy Bob's Patio.
