I was completely blown away with the quality of the pizza we received today! I've had several pizzas from doubledays over the years and never as bad as this. First off we ordered pepperoni as the meat, there were very few pepperonis that we could see or taste or find and mostly around the edges. The sauce. The sauce was terrible! I don't know what they've done but it was.......TERRIBLE! Now I realize everybody has their own "favorite" pizza or pizza sauce or pizza store but I'm guessing most would have agreed that this sauce is lacking big time! I'm not saying I will never go back but I'm going to be very cautious if I decide to go for pizza again. I've had other things on their menu and nothing stood out in a bad way.

I’m sure it’s usually better, but there were a couple issues when I ordered tonight. First, I found their menu on doordash and tried to build an order, then it didn’t work, so I called. I told the man who answered and he replied, “You’re probably looking at our Home Plate restaurant” and continued to mansplain the difference. That felt great. Their menu for the main restaurant is still on DoorDash, so they should take it down if they’re not accepting orders there.

Then one meal (grilled fish) was ice cold and I had to heat it up in the oven. We ordered mashed potatoes with it, but they had the skins in the potatoes. Never seen it that way before. One side we ordered was free because the first time we ordered, a side was cold and tasteless and they were replacing that side. This was no exception this time around.

All in all, it was a disappointing experience. I would call and tell them, but it felt like my concern about DoorDash was met with skepticism, so I don’t feel like they would care if I told them anything else. Sucks because I’d rather support a local business instead of a chain.

Ordered takeout. $37 for small salad with grilled fish, along with a burger and sweet potato fries. Fries were soggy with absolutely no flavor. This isn’t the first time our takeout order was either wrong in some way or just poorly prepared. Doubledays is a popular & appealing local restaurant with typically good food and service but the meals prepared for take out simply don’t rise to the quality as dining in. Hopefully, things will improve especially considering the cost of their meals.

We had Karyn as our server and she was extremely rude the entire visit. We met friends there at 7:30 last night. She acted like we came in 5 minutes before close. I'm a server and I'm appalled at the way she behaved. She rushed us the entire visit and literally didn't smile at us one time. I asked for a loaded baked potato and she literally just said no. I would have thought she was kidding if she showed any signs of a personality but then she just said we ran out. So I asked for loaded mashed instead and she never brought me any. Right after we get our food my friend asked for a large side of sour cream and she brought some out and said this is the only size they come in which was just unnecessary especially when we originally ordered she asked for double sour cream and no salsa and they brought her a bunch of salsa and no sour cream. Then she came back and said you guys are going to need a lot of boxes and we had only had our food for 10 minutes. She brought boxes and the checks immediately because apparently she was ready to go even though it was 8:15. None of the other staff that interacted with us was pleasant either. I love going out to eat and leaving huge tips for our servers, it's one of my favorite things to do. We still left 15 dollars even though she didn't deserve that at all. I normally would've left at least 30. We won't be coming back.
