Won’t bother going here ever again! ? and that’s a shame was one of my favorite places in town!! For 25 years…… rude very lacking service … waiter/cashier man very rude! And this place seems to think excessive excuses are the correct answer anymore rather than providing any kind of quality service! And most wonder why they get bad tips! If you’re reading this and are a server please treat people correctly and then you will get a tip!! Simple as that!!!!! No one wants to go for a meal and leave feeling like garbage for how they was treated!!!!! ?

Wife and I found this place as we were driving around Chillicothe. Stopped in for lunch and found that the food was excellent with a price that beat any fast-food chain restaurant. Service was just a little slow but with the crowd that was there it was perfectly understandable. Be sure to read about history of the restaurant at the bottom of menu. Really a neat place.

A very charming and historic piece of americana in the heart of Chillicothe. The food here is excellent. I would recommend that you come here when you are not that busy considering it can take a while to get your food. The staff are nice folk.

Left after a 40 minute wait on a burger/fries and cup of soup. We never received our food so we walked out. Was only 3 tables in the building at the time. Loved this place in the past but will not go back after my experience 2 weeks ago. Miss the old Carl's ? Some restaurants are really hurting post

Last week, when we stopped in, it took 10 minutes just to get our drinks. After 50 minutes our food wasn't served to us yet, and when I talked to the boss. He said they had a big order and couldn't help it. But I saw that nobody in there was served for over 45 minutes. His response to me was, "Have a good day. After I got charged about 3.50 for a pop. I will never go back in there again. The boss didn't care and was a prick.

The foods pretty tasty, but it took over an hour to get it. In that time I watched three groups walk out because they weren't getting any service. I nearly walked out too when at the hour mark they told me that they didn't have the bread for the sandwich I ordered. If you have several hours to spare and love to be ignored, then this is the restaurant for you!

My brother and I came down from Columbus to try Carl's today and we were definitely not disappointed. We described the double cheeseburger as a White Castle on steroids. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The French fries were so crispy. Plus a huge portion for about $10. Well be back there again soon.

I had the beef and noodles special today. This is a once great diner and continues to fall in food quality and service. I sat at the counter for 20 minutes before being asked if I had been helped yet. By the very waitress that was serving the counter customers. Tall thin women with brownish hair.In addition, I kept hearing yelling from the kitchen.I have been a customer of Carl's since 2011. Today will be my last visit.
