I'd heard great things about Cafe Mochiko and I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype. The food was great, service was great and friendly, and I just overall enjoyed the vibe. Definitely look forward to being back and telling more people about it. Also, props to Rachael for being a great server and making me feel welcome. Pastries and ramen, you can't go wrong here.
So I knew it would be delicious, I just didn't know it would be THIS delicious. Wow. Yum. Had the Broccoli Gomae which was awesomely bright with sesame flavor, the Ramp Raisu which has both pickled and fresh ramp - almost like a risotto texture. And the Mochi Mochi Panic was the star of the show - almost served like a gnocchi but with mochi texture instead and a total umami bomb. So great.

As a fan of authentic Japanese cuisine, I was genuinely surprised by the creativity at this place! Every dish had a familiar foundation with a subtle, delightful twist that made it stand out. Everything I tried was spot-on. I’ve heard great things about their bakery too, but since we went in the evening, most of the baked goods were already sold out—definitely going back earlier next time!
