I had one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had in a coffee shop here today.

I came in around 3:00 p.m. to take a work meeting on my laptop. The meeting was starting as I walked in, so I sat down and logged on right away. About 15 minutes later, while I was clearly in the middle of my meeting, the woman behind the counter yelled across the shop asking if I was going to order something. I said yes and told her I would order as soon as my meeting ended.

About 10 minutes after that, she again yelled across the shop asking if I was going to order and said they were “closing soon.” She was visibly frustrated. I told her I didn’t realize they were closing soon and repeated that I would order when my meeting finished.

At that point I decided it was best to leave. When my meeting ended around 3:30, I packed up and headed out.

The woman then followed me from behind the counter to the door and yelled in my face that this was not the type of place where I could come and “steal their internet.” I calmly told her I was using my own personal hotspot. She continued to yell at me and berate me while standing directly in front of me.

I have visited this shop many times, which makes this even more disappointing. Being followed and yelled at on my way out the door was aggressive, humiliating, and completely unprofessional. I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution others.

Cozy coffee shop in a convenient location with an always friendly staff that makes you feel at home. Coffee is solid and decent selection of pastries for your sweet tooth.

Dark roast lovers should come try. Locally owned, very friendly and a real espresso latte. Convenient stop off the highway on the way back north.

Food looks great but didn’t have any. Good atmosphere. Got a white mocha latte. Very artificial if you’re a bit of a coffee snob. Very milky.

There was only one person to do all the work & it took us 10 min. To get our coffees & 20 min. To get our waffle. I asked for a sweet Carmel coffee for I wasn't sure which one to get on their limited menu. It was very tart. My queens coffee was strong, sweet but she enjoyed hers. Definitely a small amount of coffee for the price you pay. The waffle was good from what she told me. Said it was fluffy. Personally though I know I could of made one even better at home...

Love this place but it often takes awhile to get your order compared to similar cafes in the city. Just know that if you have a place to be, you might need to add some buffer time in incase you end up waiting a bit!
