Bought a bunch of Gelato for a bunch of kids today. It was very good. Even though they were busy the staff was very friendly and helpful.

They have creamy, dairy free gelato that doesn’t taste artificial. We got their blueberry and pineapple flavors, which were way better than I was expecting.

Sorbet wasn’t as good as expected, there was an after taste of bitterness from the sugar.

We really enjoyed our gelato selections, and the girl working solo behind the counter was amazing.

5/5 — Friendly service. The affogatto was delicious! I had it with their vanilla bean gelato — chef’s kiss. I’ll definitely be coming back.

As a Chef, you are constantly on the move and stressed out! My therapy is in this place. The ice cream cone takes me back to a glorious time! I am stuck on this place!! The flavors are attractive fresh, and delicious. Okay, my favorite flavor is the Tahitian vanilla! I know so many outstanding things to choose from! I serve Dojo at all my Dinner parties. Do you want some Zen in a cone this place is it!

The Affogato was amazing. It was recommended by one of the workers. They were very nice and explained to us information about different drinks.

Great selections and tried a few samples before deciding. I had strawberry balsamic sorbeto , my non dairy choice. The others had various flavors of gelato. We loved every bite.

Quick trip to Findlay and grabbed a cup of the cherry. Yum! Nice little pieces of cherry. Kids cup is plenty big for me.

Findlay Market is filled with artisans that still adore the art of making life rich with their culinary talents. Dojo is one of these artisans, and its a marvel that in today's world of big food businesses--like Graeters and UDF, and countless others--one can still find a place like Dojo, where the person handing them the cone is the same person who made the ice cream. The ice cream scene in Cincinnati is a very competitive one. If we are lumping gelato and ice cream together. In terms of quality and finese, this is in the running for best gelato/ice cream in Cincinnati. La Grassa in Madiera comes to mind as comparable, but there are really no other producers of this caliber. If you haven't had Dojo, travel to it. It's worth coming downtown solely for a scoop.I remember when Jean Robert taught me in a single dish what a spring pea could be... may he rest in peace. If you are more used to the standard fare of boxed ice-cream makers with storefronts around Cincinnati--delicious in their own right--Dojo will reveal to you why ice cream is something people dedicated their lives to in the past, and still a worthy endeavor today. The same way butchers pass their shops down to their younger family members, or deli families, or pizzerias. This is personal. You get to eat something that is so gilded in the search of perfection of someone who loves their art. It's like eating a Picasso made of milk.

So, I don't get to Findlay Market that often. But I get to the Northside neighborhood even less frequently. So on a recent visit to the market to check out something else, I had the welcome reminder that Dojo Gelato has a location here. After visiting their Northside location for a Yelp Elite event several months back, I had intended to make it back there, but hadn't had the chance, so checking out this location was a must. Great experience here, with some terrific flavors, though I always kind of loathe coming to Findlay Market given the crowds & parking situation. I've even been stupid enough to try it on the weekend. The visit made me almost prefer the Northside location, for its charming walkup service & tables out front where you can relax & enjoy some of the frozen deliciousness. Though I'll certainly not hesitate to stop here when I've got other business in the market space.

Got 2 scoops, Rowdy Girl Scout and Dutch Chocolate. Both were smooth chocolate base. The girl scout tasted like the Dutch Chocolate with thin mints mixed in. Would probably skip the Girl Scout next time, but thats just cause I don't like thin mints. For 6.25 I thought it was a good deal.

This is a MUST place when we are at Findlay Market! We eat ice cream for breakfast or at least get a Helltown or Death before decaf as a pick me up. their variety is always fun and delicious.
