Servers were awesome, friendly and you could tell they enjoy making your experience great. . Margaritas were great and food was fresh.
The most awful food I've had in memory. Did NOT taste like authentic Mexican food. VASTLY overpriced!
The enchiladas had shredded chicken that tasted like they were poured straight from a bag with no seasoning.
I almost never leave negative reviews, but I have to warn people about the poorest quality food I've experienced.
The server was great and the place was clean, organized and well lit... But you gotta get the food right!

The food is decent enough, but overpriced. Can get better at any number of Mexican joints in town. The service sucked. Our meal took over an hour in total. Food didn't come out particularly fast, but then our waiter just disappeared for 20-30 minutes. Had to go to the counter to ask for the check.
Plenty of other places to eat on campus. Skip this one.

As a Hispanic food connoisseur, this is by far my favorite restaurant representing the culture. I ordered the lettuce shrimp tacos 4.7/5 and my girlfriend got the tropical fajitas and it was a 5/5! And I never give out 5’s! And the food wasn’t even the best part the service was! Everyone was super friendly and made us feel like it was all about us! I think if this was in a better location it would be flooded out the doors from open to close!

Leo and our waiter were so patient and polite! Leo hyped us up all night as soon as we walked through the door he had a smile on his face. You could tell he really enjoyed his job. And our waiter his name starts with an A was so nice even when we were drunk he was polite I’m so sorry we got so drunk
Great food and staff

We stopped here late at night during a very snowy visit to Cincinnati, after discovering Skyline Chili was closed — which turned out to be good fortune. El Taco Veloz had a genuinely charming atmosphere and felt like a clear step above the average Mexican restaurant experience.
What truly made the night memorable was the service. The staff paid close attention to detail, and a special shout-out to Leo, whose thoughtful hospitality stood out. He took a few minutes to get to know us, made sure our food came out quickly, checked on us multiple times, and shared his gift for making people feel welcome.
We genuinely look forward to our next visit to Cincinnati and hope to return.

Leo was awesome. Set a timer for when I needed beer and was 19 seconds off from when I asked him for another. Best bartender in town. Burrito Pastor was phenomenal. Can’t say enough how awesome Leo was. Best service ever. Definitely eat/drink here and tip him good when you can.
