My order was completely wrong, and when i was explaining that to them they were extremely rude about and the lady said they can't redo the order and I couldn't get a refund so I had to get the owner involved it was really said and uncalled for i will never spend my money there again

What can I say…. I love Ethiopian food. It’s delish here. Sometimes the service can be a bit spotty and often they are out of a certain bottle of wine listed on their menu. Regardless, still recommend.

Amazing food, always hot and fresh. It is near the university campus so it’s always busy and not always a parking space out front. There is a parking garage next door; which is probably safer because the traffic is relentless.

Food was fantastic. Curry had a fantastic flavour, and prices were very reasonable. Beer prices are VERY reasonable, and will be back again! One of my friends had an Ethiopian dish (forget the name off the top of my head but it came with some wonderful looking chicken, rice and veggies) that I want to try next time! There's a very nice parking garage right next to it as well, that was very well lit.

Ordered takeout an hour before the restaraunt closed, the staff had turned off doordash orders and didn't end up seeing it until 30 minutes later. We heard the staff cursing while making the food which is understandable, but you guys were still open. The lady rushed to give us the bag of food which was put entirely in a bag, once we got home however, it's was obvious that there was an intentionally melted hole in the top of the to-go container, which had been placed upside down in the bag. All the sauce had spilled out and broke through the paper bag, staining many personal belongings with turmeric.

Parking: Street parking is ~1.50/hr and there's a paid parking lot right next to the restaurant that's $1/hr

I walked in at 11:20 pm and was told they would need me to order in the next 7 minutes because they are closing soon or I can do a pick up order so I said I’ll just do a pick up order and then said there kitchen closed a little early at 11:23 pm don’t appreciate the service I received after driving 30 minutes to this location??‍♀️

After a long hiatus (mostly due to getting parked/around that area when students are back at UC), 4 of us revisited Elephant Walk last Friday for dinner. We were THRILLED that we returned. We all ordered from the Ethiopian menu and the food was incredible. Fresh, flavorful, interesting, budget friendly & crave worthy (photo is vegetarian combo platter & mushroom appetizer). Two of us ordered the $5 spicy tamarind margarita & loved that too. 100% will be back & highly recommend. I am sure the N. Indian menu is delicious too but having solid Ethiopian food in this area is not typical. 4 star for atmosphere because the music (pop, odd) & lighting need lil help. GO!

Vegetarian options: The Indian & Ethiopian menus have LOTS of vegetarian options!

The mistake I made here was not being in a position to use leftovers (was leaving town and had no way to keep cold or heat up) the vegetarian combo platter was delicious, with many different components to try with the injeera. Was for sure enough to feed 2 people. It was very quiet when we went and had the place to ourselves but I would attribute that to time of year and day than anything else. Very good value for the money.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian combo platter is the way to go

We just had lunch here. I ordered the Ethiopian lunch sampler and my husband got the curry lunch plate. The portions were huge- I have a good appetite but easily took home 2 more meal’s worth. It was fresh and very tasty! I got spice level 6/6 and most places that isn’t spicy for me but it lit me up here, so you may want to level down if aren’t a fan of ?. So many great options on the menu we want to try- we will be back!
