“This year we have made it a point to try more restaurants downtown. This place is Heaven. Absolutely the best restaurant we have experienced in a long time: upscale casual vibe, strong flavorful drinks (try the Distrito Federal!), and the food... lord... the Moroccan Eggplant served tableside is sultry, sweet, smooth and savory. We also enjoyed the Coquilles appetizer with perfectly cooked scallops and 1 bite of the Davidson burger raised the bar for all of the local competition. Shout-out to our wonderful server, Alexis, and the roaming Manager DJ for the warm welcome. Everything was perfect.“

“Just the place when you're longing for a taste of Paris, but Cincinnati is where you are. I'm an aficionado of the mussels, but everything I've had is great. They don't take reservations, so check the Playhouse schedule and if there's a 7:30 show, 7 is your sweet spot.“

“Our meal was delicious. The service was excellent! We highly recommend La Bar a Boeuf! I had the crab cake appetizer and it was very good-2 large crab cakes. My husband had the escargot-very good. I had duck for the entrée. Again, I recommend this dish. My husband had the soft shell crab??. We were too full to have desert!“

“My friend and I were shopping at Findlay Market on a Wednesday in early October and popped in to see what they were serving for their Lunch Tray Special. I only knew about these lunches from following them on social media. Each week they serve a different lunch Weds.-Fri. at the bar for $19. It's enough food that we both took a bit home. The ambiance is bright, and you can't miss seeing all the of the salt and pepper shakers in the display case - what a hoot!
We had chicken breast over rich mashed potatoes, a yummy quinoa salad, homeade tomato soup, and a frozen strawberry puff pastry item. Everything was delicious (although the dessert was a bit odd), and for the price, it was steal for lunch. We will be back to try more!
As a bonus, while we were there, Molly Wellman was consulting with the bartender. We tried her Cincinnati Gin and she explained the history of how she chose the recipe and went into a deep dive of the history of distilling in Cincinnati. So we had a very educational lunch! Thanks Molly!“

“We celebrated my birthday at Colette recently. It's our first time there. We made reservations and were seated quickly. Our server is very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations. We enjoyed everything we ordered especially the laminated brioche, brandade de moure(whip salt cod), lamb neck cavatelli ragu, and mushroom tahini. The desert chocolate mousse and millie feuille are amazing!!“
