I'm a regular at this restaurant, visiting almost three times a week. The food and service are generally good, but I had a minor issue recently. I asked to try a small sample of eel, but was told it wasn't possible. I understand that the chef may not want to give out free samples, but as a frequent customer who spends a significant amount, I think a small taste would be a reasonable request

This place touts hibachi and poke bowls, and sushi rolls/bowls. You can order one of their standard choices, or you can build a bowl. Unfortunately, I'd never been here before and the server didn't explain to me the process to customize my bowl, so I was a bit overwhelmed and missed the end steps, resulting in not getting some things I would've added (wasabi and ginger). The server was otherwise good and personable. The other employees I saw, two of whom appeared...

I typically get the steak or chicken fusa bowls which are good. I like the flavors and there’s a good amount of food that usually amounts to leftovers. The main thing I wish would change are the noodles in the fusa bowls. They seem like spaghetti rather than a traditional Asian style noodle.
