A friend and I went here to celebrate our birthdays. We had a 7:15 reservation. Arrived a few mins early. Was told to wait and they'd come get us shortly. The bar was full with diners, so there was no place to get a cocktail while we waited, which wasn't that big of a deal since we were going to be sitting down shortly. 50 minutes later I checked in with the host and was told they were sorry it was going to be a little while longer. The new Izzy's is too expensive and the food is okay. The old Izzy's was far better value - excellent food, 2 sides were included, great service. I had to try the new Izzy's but I won't be going back.
We went based on Izzy's top ranking for steak and looked forward to a special steak meal with dear friends. Izzy's service was amazing, drinks, sides, beef bourginon were great but compared to other top steak houses we were let down. The ribeye was not as thick as expected and not the quality of beef as expected. No steaks were offered with bone in.
