Not the same as it use to be when they had a gentleman that worked there since they fired him the food isn't the same biscuits are hard the chicken and tenders aren't as spicy it's ashame because it use to be really good I don't recommend this place anymore and it's more expensive

Something changed in the last year, either on who’s making it or the recipes. The chicken is not as spicy and tender. The biscuits are still great. Mac n cheese was worse than a box of Kraft.

I hate to say it, but this is not Jay's Chicken. The chicken was not as good as before, the biscuit was probably the worst I've ever seen and the sides were overcooked and tasted like they had been sitting for a few days. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass on Jay's Chicken in the future.

Well, under the former management it was delicious. I went on September 25, 2024, and a whole new group was working. It was not nearly as good. They tried to repeat the cooking process but missed the mark badly. The red beans and rice were undercooked and I had to throw it away. The restaurant now should be down graded.

They take forever to make your food. They stop selling shrimp, but they still have it listed on their menu. They don’t have anything stating that anywhere. I waited there for 10 minutes, without any acknowledgment, and then they tell me they don’t sell shrimp anymore. What a waste. Why not carry shrimp even if they raised the prices? Your prices are already high, why not sell shrimp and jack up the price even more like you do on everything else.

Everything is so delicious, great cooks. I've been eating there since they added that addition. My favorite is the chicken tenders and fried chicken it has a spicy kick to it, always fresh crunchy juicy and succulent

I was out with a coworker when we noticed we both were hungry, and he recommended to stop over by here because he stated that it had the best chicken in Cincinnati (So does other chicken joints). So we went in and ordered their 12-piece chicken tender meal with 4 biscuits and I'm telling you, their biscuits are to die for!! They out this glaze over them biscuits and man oh man they had me wanting more! Each bite was perfect and satisfied by hunger each time. The tenders were very good too. Juicy, not much breading on it (which I like a lot) so there's more meat in it. I definitely want to go here more to try out their actual chicken breasts, thighs, legs, etc..
I was charged extra for a specific order. However, the order wasn't put together correctly after giving specifics to the cashier/one who boxed my food. To add I was the only customer at the time. Overall, a decent place to get chicken.

I ordered chicken tenders fries and a side of mashed potatoes and the total was around $14 when I got to my car and checked it I only had chicken tenders and mashed potatoes so I went back inside and asked the guy if I was supposed to get fries and he said no you only got the three tender combo and the mashed potatoes.Once I left I looked at my credit card because the guy didn't give me a receipt and I was billed $14 but their menu price is just under $7 for the order so the guy charged me for something twice maybe but either way he didn't listen to what I ordered.
