Knuckles Deli Reviews
Ordered the potato salad and the soup of the day, both exceptional, the building was pretty cool, some dude named knuckles took our order and he was pretty cool, will come again
Love this place
Ever since I tried Portillo's in Chicago, I've been dying to sink my teeth into some hot Italian Beef (ᵗʰᵃᵗ'ˢ ʷʰᵃᵗ ˢʰᵉ ˢᵃᶦᵈ). Luckily for me, Knuckle's Deli exists here in Cincinnati. Knuckles Deli is a Cincinnati deli with character and friendly service. The potato salad and the soup of the day are exceptional, and the building is pretty cool. The Italian Beef is just like being home for those who grew up in Chicago—maybe better. The sandwich is dipped and deliciously juicy, and the giardiniera is the perfect level of heat. The Italian sandwich and the meatball sandwich are also favorites, and the house made pesto is amazing. The deli uses Sixteen Bricks bread, an automatic deal-sealer. The Italian beef dipped with hot and mild peppers hits, and the meatball sandwich is one of the best in years. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and unmistakably Cincinnati. The sandwiches are piled high, the portions are generous, and everything feels like straightforward comfort food. It is not trying to be trendy—just a great local joint doing what it does well. Perfect for lunch, grabbing a sandwich and a beer, or taking someone from out of town who wants something genuinely local. The place could use more indoor seating, but the beef is worth it anywhere.
