So the "Grandmother and Grandson" was inside today and when I say it was so cute to me. It's my first time so I'm not sure if that was Ms Catherine buuutttt...I had the chicken wings, Mac and candied yams. Dem chicken wings were fried AND seasoned to perfection BayBee!!! Grandma was so sweet to these other men that ordered and informed Dem about her foods that he could and couldn't consume, as he was Jewish! This place is a hidden gem! No better place in the city to get soul food than Catherine's. I had the hot wings, which are not for the faint of heart (if you don't like spice, I would recommend just getting BBQ wings) I loved the spice on them and they were very juicy. The wings are made to order as well as a few other items on the menu, including their burgers. Catherine also told me she didn't have the normal fries that she would use, so she CUT A POTATO and made fries from scratch!...read full review
