It honestly pains me to say this because I've always loved LouVino, but our food just didn't hit the mark this time. I had the breakfast plate, the hash brown casserole was cold, the bacon was overcooked, the biscuit was dense and dry, and the eggs tasted oddly artificial, like they came from a mix. My permanent person had the chicken and waffles and said they were just okay. The chicken was moist but tasted like it had been fried in old oil (and it definitely looked that way too). The service, as always, was wonderful, friendly and attentive, and I still love the overall vibe of the restaurant. But the food quality has definitely slipped since our last visit, which was disappointing.
We dined on a Saturday late morning. The restaurant was slow and fairly quiet, which was nice. It does have a cool ambience with the decor, and there was plenty of seating for the four of us at that time. The food and drinks were fair. Some dishes were pretty good (veggie sandwich, fried green tomatoes, french toast, some cocktails). Some were fair to iffy (quiche, Brussels sprouts, Kentucky Coffee, mimosas). The server was very nice and welcoming, but to echo the comments of others, they definitely do "leave you be" during your meal. There were several times we needed to make eye contact and wave them over to order more food and drinks. It was worth a visit, though not sure we would return.
We started with some appetizers and drinks, but then it had been over an hour since our reservation before the waitress came back over to take our dinner order. It wasn't very crowded, especially for a Saturday night, so we weren't expecting things to take so long. Otherwise, the ambiance was great and the food was good.
We had a gift card for the restaurant that the manager refused to use at first. She said it couldn't be used even though it was showing a balance and we also called the gift card company confirming that it had a balance. She said she didn't know how to use it. Finally she figured out how to make it go through. The food and wine was very good though and the ambiance set was perfect.
My brother and I are at Louvino before the FCC game, and we had a great experience. We both got the Caprese Salad which was a unique take on the traditional Caprese Salad because it had extra ingredients that made it substantial but not too much. My brother got the Shrimp and Grits that he absolutely loved, and I got the Shrimp Scampi that was also delicious. My only criticism is that it seemed to take a long time to receive the entrees considering the smallish crowd. It wasn't a problem because we had plenty of time, but it was surprising. I highly recommend this restaurant for the unique menu and great ambiance.
We have dined many times here. Unfortunately this will be our last time. We waited over 20 min for our server to come to our table. Once we finally ordered, they messed up our food order. They did comp our drinks and part of the food, but for a nearly empty dining room, the service should not have been this subpar.
We ordered the truffle fries, Brussel sprouts, and scallop and shrimp risotto. All were wonderful! Our server recommended a few delicious wines along the way and even surprised us with dessert after our meal. Five stars across the board!
Food was great!! Our server was really good- very attentive. Drinks were unique and tasty.
We enjoyed Louvino! The onion and goat cheese dip was quite good and would get that again when we return.
Food quality was not good. Service was friendly but the time our food took was really long, especially with no one hardly in the place. We won't go back

They were out of many items, our food came out wrong and everything was very oily and/or over cooked.
Omg. There were literally 3 tables in the restaurant and 6 staff members and it took almost an hour to get shrimp scampi and a (not!) medium rare steak frites. No ind cared about service or food delivery. Do not waste your time. So many other great restaurants in OTR. These fools have given up.

We love LouVino! This was our third time dining there. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly, the food is always delicious, and it's such a cool vibe.
Delicious brunch, great mimosas - highly recommend the blueberry açaí- and outstanding service from our server, Arlo.
Server was very nice, but too busy to check on tables making the service overall sub par. This is a management and training issue! Too many other staff members available that read the room and step it up! Food okay. Overall...just okay.
