It honestly pains me to say this because I've always loved LouVino, but our food just didn't hit the mark this time. I had the breakfast plate, the hash brown casserole was cold, the bacon was overcooked, the biscuit was dense and dry, and the eggs tasted oddly artificial, like they came from a mix. My permanent person had the chicken and waffles and said they were just okay. The chicken was moist but tasted like it had been fried in old oil (and it definitely looked...
We started with some appetizers and drinks, but then it had been over an hour since our reservation before the waitress came back over to take our dinner order. It wasn't very crowded, especially for a Saturday night, so we weren't expecting things to take so long. Otherwise, the ambiance was great and the food was good.
We had a gift card for the restaurant that the manager refused to use at first. She said it couldn't be used even though it was showing a balance and we also called the gift card company confirming that it had a balance. She said she didn't know how to use it. Finally she figured out how to make it go through. The food and wine was very good though and the ambiance set was perfect.
