The 1931 Reviews
I made a reservation. There was no host when I got there. Had to sit at the bar since tables weren't being used.
The "1931" is located in a historic space, where Orchids at Palm Court used to be. The current management has not maintained the interior properly. The 1931 is a restaurant in Cincinnati that features a stylish bar area and live music most days of the week. The restaurant offers a variety of appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts, and cocktails that are simple, well-prepared, and comforting, with some unique touches. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, making it a special place to visit even if you're not staying at The Netherland. The restaurant also offers gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. While the food is praised for its quality and presentation, the overall dining experience can be inconsistent. The brunch buffet is considered ordinary, and there have been reports of overcharging. Service has sometimes been slow, with inexperienced servers and poor table clearing, leading to long waits. Despite these issues, the restaurant's ambiance and cuisine make it a notable dining spot in the area, though some may find more interesting options elsewhere.
