Went here during business lunch hour on a Friday. The place was Slammed, the seating and standing room were full, but the person taking my order was cool as a cucumber. He took my order without a name and I stood in line with the rest of the folks. There was about 5 people ahead of me and like 15 people waiting to order. They took orders as fast as they got them out, From placing my order to receiving it took about 10min. NOT BAD and they were cooking things fresh!I ordered a Fish sandwich with tarter and fries. TOTAL = $9.50; HOLY MOLY! THATS A BARGAIN!SOLID chunk of fried fish and a good portion of fries.Fish was tender and flacky and the tartar sauce was excellent and tasted home made. The fries were crispy and for a work lunch I was really pleased.

Food is great, i love the double deckers. Very easy on the wallet as well. My only criticism, is they need to update and clean the restaurant better. The vents and ceiling tiles look like they havent been touched since the first opened. The kitchen area looks fine but the seating area really needs an overhaul.

We ordered ahead on a Thursday at lunchtime. The place wasn't super busy and we were helped quickly. Interior is super dated but it's a nostalgic kind of feeling. Food was great but they only took cash.

If you like friendly service, DELICIOUS double decker club sandwiches (huge variety) like they made in the good ole days- you will love this place. They don't make places like this anymore. It's not the boring shabby chic froo froo industrial hipster vibe - it's authentic and real. That's why it's been here so long. You should try it!

Huge double decker sandwiches, I recommend the club. I have been going here for years and the owners and staff are all great. If you are eating low carb they serve omelets at lunchtime or you can pick off the bread, the bread is like an afterthought compared to the amount of meat on the sandwiches, but if you eat bread you can get rye, white or wheat, toasted or not.

Today I was down town for an eye appointment. I came here for lunch. The food and service were excellent . I used to work a block away I would often eat here . They had a frozen yogurt to go that was the best I've ever eaten. I worked near here for twenty six years. I worked in Springdale for fifteen years and have been retired for twelve . Today when I walked in the owner recognized me by name . I was very impressed and will return soon . It's a good restaurant with honest hard working people. The ambience is unchanged it was like coming home again . In an era where everything is changing and prices have gone through the roof . This establishment is good service good food at a good price . With history.
