There is a more limited selection of ice cream and higher prices than you would find at a normal Graeter's but the seating area is super cute and totally original to the building. All Rookwood tiles! It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon despite the larger museum being crowded. The hours are different from the larger museum so plan your trip accordingly.

Really wanted to visit this place but it was closed on a Sunday at 3 pm. Apparently it’s only open on weekends and only for a couple of hours in the afternoon. What a shame!

I absolutely love this little icecream parlor and Try to come here almost every time i visit the Museum center. It’s really cool sitting down and eating Icecream in this little historic room, surrounded by the beautiful Rookwood tiles and retro aesthetic. It’s almost like you’ve stepped back in time.

Dietary restrictions: It’s an Icecream parlor, there will be Dairy and Peanuts. If either is dangerous to you I cannot advise eating here but I still recommend checking it out.

Kid-friendliness: It’s an Icecream Parlor and thus very kid friendly.

It's nice but do not expect "unexpected" ?. ? Itself is quite mediocre, bit the place still worth to visit it if you're in the museum

I remember eating ice cream here when I was young and it was always a big deal/fun experience. I've wanted to take my 3 sons to enjoy ice cream in the Rookwood tile environment since we became members back in December, but we would always forget to go early and it would close before we could make it in. We were finally able to order ice cream and eat inside the Rookwood Tea Room yesterday, but I was so disappointed. We spent well over $30 with my museum membership discount and got very, very little ice cream. I believe the lady behind the counter was possibly training the gentleman who ended up scooping and serving us our ice cream. All 3 cups I purchased were barely filled with 2 small scoops of sorbet/ice cream. My middle son wanted a waffle cone, that I had forgotten about until after we sat down, so I went back up and ordered him a double scoop waffle cone, the woman scooped it, and it was an appropriate amount. The 2 employees behind the ice cream shop counter were extremely nice and helpful, I just felt awkward being like "are these 2 tiny scoops all we get for $6.99." We did enjoy the environment and nostalgia of the Rookwood Tea Room. We just wish there was more ice cream served with a double scoop serving.

The Egypt Exhibition was excellent. It’s very large. Allow at least two hours. Saw a replica of the Rosetta Stone.

The interior is lovely. However, it is closed as of summer 2016 until approx Fall 2018 while the building is being restored.
