Sake is a late-night hibachi and sushi restaurant and bar in the Clifton/UC area. The food is delicious, better than expected, with very generous portions. Diners recommend it for both sushi and hibachi. Many note the hibachi dinners, which are amazingly seasoned and cooked, and often feature a buy-one-get-one deal. Specific meals enjoyed include the steak hibachi, chicken hibachi, tuna nigiri, and tuna sashimi. Appetizers like tasty pork fried dumplings and miso soup are also praised, along with the really good ginger dressing for the salad. The vegetables are very fresh.
The service is great and attentive, with food brought out pretty quickly for both dine-in and takeout. The atmosphere is decent, calm, and clean, with a nice-looking interior and some outdoor seating in front. The location is great, though parking is limited to paid street parking or a small parking garage. The restaurant is a recommended spot for some quick hibachi food.
