The location is very convenient for events at Ensemble Theater. The food is fine but the service was exceedingly slow. I think they may be understaffed.

Our server Luke was amazing! So helpful, energetic and passionate about TOB. The food was delicious looking and taste.

Our table was tucked in the window, we loved it. All our food was delicious. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We will be back to try some other things on the menu. We were there for Sunday Brunch.

Went for breakfast, music was up way to high for breakfast crowd. Could hear my conversation although we were sitting beside each other. Or get rid of some f the speakers as they are directed at the tables.

Fantastic. We haven't been back to visit in Cincinnati for a while and decided to stop in for a late breakfast. Every bit as great as we remembered. A Cincinnati GEM!

Ate there multiple times in the past and had good experiences. However, this past time we waited for over 20 minutes after being sat at our table without a server ever stopping at our table for any reason whatsoever. The restaurant wasn't busy. No idea who our server even was because we never met them. After a little over 20 minutes we simply left.

I am in town for work, and ordered from here via Uber so I can't speak to the service and atmosphere but based on my experience in town I'm confident both would have been pleasant.

I tried the banana and Nutella crepe, a s'mores waffle, and a s'mores toastie. None were good. The crepe was the kind where the whole thing is a uniform consistency which then evokes a rubber-like feeling. It was not tough or chewy, but neither was it light, airy, nor delicately crisp. While this may have been due to having it delivered, there was notably not much golden-browning on the surface. The Nutella was... odd. One bite it was there, another bite it was not. It seemed like the Nutella was supplemented with a chocolate sauce that did not stand up to the strong, distinct hazelnut flavor.

This may be a fault of the menu, or a fault on my part in my expectations, but the waffle was not an eggy, custard-like, fluffy, fresh Belgian waffle but instead a Belgian sugar waffle. Sugar waffles last longer and are more transportable. They are also small, firm and dense and gross if overheated. The mascarpone-marshmallow topping had no mascarpone flavor. The chocolate sauce may as well have come out of a Torani squirt bottle. Which would have been fine at a major American chain or on ice cream, but the photos and overall feel of this place suggest a greater elevation of cooking. The "toastie" had no description on the website or on Uber, save for being categorized as "Tomorrow's Breakfast," which made me think it was a fancy pop tart.

It was not. Frankly it is enormous, easily 6" long. Rather than pastry, it is more like a fried short bread. And by that I mean it smelled like it had been deep-fried, but shortbread being as dry as it is, I could not tell you it tasted deep-fried. It was dry and mildly chewy and I only ate far enough to make sure there was chocolate in the middle.

If I were nearby or in town long enough, I would have tried other things on the menu or asked them to remake my crepe to see if my experience was a one-off. Given the lack of forewarning about the choice to serve a topped sugar waffle rather than a fresh one off of an iron, and the undetectable marscapone, I felt confident leaving my review as it is.

We went for the chicken and waffles. The chicken was really good but we can’t say the same about waffles.

I chose this restaurant because I have been to Belgium and really wanted a taste of Belgian food. The food was good in service, presentation, price and portions. However minus the fries the menu had me craving some Belgian staples. It’s a very Americanized menu everything seemed to be scratch cooked however I was really hoping for something like mussels and fries ( only available at dinner) many of the items I had come for were on the dinner menu but the website did not say that they were not available until after 4 pm. When asked if we could order off the dinner menu we were advised this isn’t allowed.
We ordered- mussels gratin ( this was cooked perfectly and a good replacement for the PROVENÇALE mussels I longed for. The frieten were good and were the star of the meal. The pretzels and cheese were a little disappointing we asked our waitress about the pretzels and she said they are baked fresh down the street however they were basically glorified garlic knots. The cheese sauce was delicious and would have stood up better to a more traditional pretzel. My husband ordered a meatball sandwich with Belgian sauce the bread was well baked but the meatballs were minimal and sliced in half.
Lastly they had a good beer selection but lacked Kreik or Mort Subite which is a true Taste of Belgium.
Overall I would go back for dinner next time if I’m in the city. I wish this restaurant would consider adding some of the more traditional items to the day menu or letting people order off the dinner menu as many restaurants do as it is truely what someone who loves Belgian food may come for.

Parking: Parked across the street it was easy to pay on my app and less than $5

Wheelchair accessibility: Public parking is available across the street and it has a ramp as well the restaurant has one near the bathroom and a very large bathroom that would be easy to navigate with one.

Our food was served erratically because the kitchen staff was not well trained. Most of the items were cold instead of hot, and one order was burned - probably twice - before it was served. We do not plan on returning to the restaurant.

We went and had an amazing meal here! We walked in and had four adults with the baby, at 5 PM on a Saturday. We asked if they had room for us and they seated us at a four top table. We asked for a sling for the baby carrier and our waiter said he would be right back. When he came back, he said they only had two slings at the restaurant and one was in use and one was broken. Then a few minutes later the manager came and told us that we had to make sure our stroller with the baby in it was not in the IOA. I said I understood, but I really needed a sling for the baby carrier and he replied with “we don’t have those here. “ after I told him that our waiter said they had two of them, but one was broken and one was a use, he backtracked and said that he doesn’t usually work at this location so he had no idea. He was very pleasant the rest of the evening when he dropped off our food, but I just feel like, if your restaurant is not able to accommodate children to maybe advertise that, or have the hostess seat us somewhere that the stroller is able to be used as a baby because you don’t have one. Again food was outstanding!

Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, did not have places for babies or children to sit in chairs or slings, acted annoyed that I would even ask.

Having been to Belgium months before visiting this restaurant, I was happy to find that the food was pretty legit! The staples like waffles and frites tasted exactly like they should, with a couple of notes: in Belgium the frites are cut a bit thicker, and there are more kinds of waffles to enjoy.

For the non-traditional items, like the Beltucky hot brown, I thought they put a good spin on the combination of cultures. Well done!

Our server Mary was really sweet and accommodating. I would definitely go back there sometime.
