We came here 2 years ago, and it was the best mac & cheese we'd ever had. We were looking forward to visiting just so we can have it again. It seems that since the last time we were here, the quality has taken a nosedive. What you get is a small paper bowl of dry noodles with baked cheese. It's extremely disappointing but ultimately not surprising. Every good thing seems to be getting bought by a corporate entity, cheapened to the point of unrecognizability, then squeezed for profit until dry.

We really enjoyed the local bar restaurant. It's nothing pretentious and the food is served in throw away plates and bowls. But the food is good with decent variety. The Mac and cheese varieties are a specialty.

Nasty and expensive. I ordered 3 meals for my family and all three were nasty. The Audrey burger was disgusting and I’ve had it before. The lettuce was old. The burger was dry. The fries were hard. Everything was so bad. Never returning.

Overall, terrible experience. Mac and cheese was so dry even my daughter hated it, fries were so old they were soggy when they’re supposed to be crispy, all burgers are undercooked, staff was rude and snobby, staff sits at the bar with uniforms on drinking hard to tell if they’re drinking on the clock or not but how can you serve someone when you’re drunk yourself. Never again.

so, i’ve always loves tavern because it’s good food, good atmosphere, and i know times are tough, but with no warning they stopped serving fries when you order a burger for carryout. which, 1st time, honestly, we thought was a fluke, maybe they only had all small boxes and forgot the fries? second time, okay, not a fluke. 3rd time around we ordered small fries each. didn’t take a pic then but it was like 5 in each small box. THIS time around, we ordered a large fry, and the box doesn’t have one full layer of fries in it. that was $6.49. the whole meal - 2 burgers, large (laughable), and corn bites, was almost $50. burger’s dry, the corn bites are soggy. y’all please get it together 😫
