🚨Absolutely terrible experience at Thai Namtip. The service was horrible from start to finish. Long waits, no attention, and an overall attitude that made it feel like customers were an inconvenience rather than the reason the business exists.
Because the service was so bad, I chose not to leave a tip. That should have been the end of it. Instead, as I was pulling away, one of the employees actually ran outside and flagged down my vehicle to demand a tip. That is beyond unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I’ve never experienced anything like that at any restaurant.
Demanding a tip after providing awful service, and then chasing a customer down over it, is crossing a serious line. I will not be returning, and I strongly suggest others think twice before dining here. Plus extremely overpriced!!!⚠️

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL & VERY DISRESPECTFUL!!!
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!
•Our appetizer of Crab Rangoon was burnt and had very little filling. They were very hard to eat.
•I ordered a Chicken Po Wee Ee and it was supposed to be just noodles, broccoli, carrots, corn, with choice of meat which I chose chicken. When I received my meal while it did have chicken in it there was also a whole cup full of squid legs (I found out quick after accidentally eating one🤢), it also had other tiny pieces of some other meat that looked to be beef but after the squid I’m not sure. The issue with that is I am allergic to beef and pork as well. My husband who ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp found chunks of red onion in his which he is allergic to. The menu never said that would be in it just like mine never said anything about squid
•The meal itself for 2 entrees, the Crab Rangoon, and two drinks was over $50!
•We also never had the same server during our whole experience there. Which I’m not a Karen and don’t mind that at all but no one ever came over to us asked if our orders were correct or if it tasted good or what not. So when our bill came we didn’t feel like our food, or service was worth a tip. Especially not knowing who was actually our server or getting asked about or food.
•One of the workers when she handed us our receipt to pay stood there for a second and then put a card reader on the table for my husband to pay. Which he did pay in full but like I said we didn’t leave a tip. After paying we took a few minutes to get our coats on and belongings together before leaving the restaurant. Once we were in our vehicle about to leave a worker came out running fast to our vehicle. We initially thought maybe there was an issue with the card reader so my husband rolled down the window to see what the issue was and immediately out of her mouth was rudely “YOU NO TIP YOUR SERVER.” Which honestly took us back because that meant she had to look back on the machine to see if we had tipped or not. Which honestly blew our minds. So much so my husband asked her again what she had said making sure he heard her correctly which she repeated in an even more hostile tone. We both were flabbergasted by her actions. He politely said sorry our food was not even right and we did not have a good experience. He then rolled up the window thinking what more needs to be said after that. Tipping is never mandatory unless there is a sign or on your bill that an establishment adds a certain percentage gratuity to your bill. So this woman’s actions on a very cold snowy evening totally caught us off guard and left us feeling totally disrespected and disgusted with our whole entire experience.
SO AGAIN BEWARE!!!
THIS IS NOT A THAI ESTABLISHMENT YOU WANT TO VISIT!!!!!

Stopped by for a quick dinner and found Thai Namtip while searching for something tasty and spicy. What a great find! The Tom Kha Goong soup was incredible — I ordered spice level 7/10, and it was just right. The Thai spicy fish with vegetables was packed with flavor, and the Massaman curry was excellent. We even got to sample a Thai vegetable pancake, which was surprisingly delicious.
Service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the small dining area had a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a place I’ll return to again!

Not impressed. Ordered my dish at a 5/10 and a friend ordered 7/10. We didn't think the spices were even waved over the dishes! We asked for a dish of hot sauce to help it out. Very basic food and the rice was totally plain. The physical appearance of the restaurant looks like it hasn't seen maintenance in years. Not interested in going back anytime soon.

Terrible place. Spend damn near 30 dollars and did not get any napkins, forks, nor any sauces. I called amd the manger lady said they dont provide that just the food. For real after spending that much . Them she got loud.
Restaurantji Recommends
Have had many mistakes on take out orders. Items left out, wrong food, over-charging. Won't be ordering from them again.
This place has the best crab fried rice, I've gone there so many times. It's the only place I'll eat fried rice. The customer service is friendly and the food is fast. They have a nice sweet sticky rice with mango as well. Totally recommend.
Terrible food.
I couldn't even eat the sushi

Thai Namtip has been one of my go-to spots for years. The food is always fresh and flavorful, but what truly sets this place apart is the way they treat their customers — like family.
Tonight was a perfect example: I stopped in to grab dinner for myself and mentioned I needed something small for my young daughter too. I asked if they might have half an avocado I could buy — and without hesitation, they brought one out, added it to my bag, and simply said, “Don’t worry about it. We appreciate your business.”
It’s small gestures like that — not expected or asked for — that really show how much they care. It’s not about free food; it’s about genuine kindness and community. Thai Namtip is more than just a restaurant. It’s a place where you feel welcome every time you walk through the door.
