We enjoyed a delightful lunch at The Capital Grille where we tried their salmon and Signature cheese burger. The burger was a perfect blend of flavors accompanied with delicious truffle fries. The juicy salmon complemented by the mango avocado salad. Must try the lobster bisque if on the menu. Each bite was a savory delight, and the top notch server Bijen added a wonderful touch to the meal. To be honest this place should have a Michelin star...or two. The bread was great. The fried calamari appetizer was incredible. And the steak and lobster tail was superb. I went here as part of a work thing to celebrate getting a new job and they brought out a nice dessert plate. It too was incredible. I will say they could do a little better making people aware of their free valet service so folks don't have to park all the way in the garage as I did...but my bottom line is this: if you are in Cincinnati and celebrating a special occasion or just looking to have a great meal, I highly recommend this place.

It was amazing and perfect!! Stacie really makes the best recommendations. Had I not had amazing service from her the first time, I may not have been back, but I've been happy with ALL of her recommendations!! We had dinner in the bar and the whole evening was delightful. The food was fantastic, despite one steak being slightly undercooked. We did send it back and when it came back it was perfect. Our server was James and he was attentive and friendly. We have always enjoyed our meals at The Capital Grille!

Decided to have dinner here for date night and was very disappointed with the decision. Food was good and server was good, but couldn't shake the horrible start to our evening. We checked in at the host stand to let them know we were there for our reservation. Full disclosure, we were 4 minutes late for a 6:45 reservation, but no one else was waiting. We stood to the side and watched the hostess ponder for eternity over where to seat us. Meanwhile, a couple comes in behind us, announced they didn't have reservations and were told that any of the open spots in the bar were open seating. From out of no where, another person comes from the back of the bar, greets the couple, announces that the man's favorite table is table 85 and guides them to a large booth in the corner of the dinning room. I only know this because we were still waiting for the host to decide where we would sit and finally passed the information along to her assistant standing by for the information. Our reservation entitled us to a small booth for two. Our server was friendly and our food was good, but the staff at the door should understand that good customer service should be given to everyone, not just for fans of table 85.
Many aspects of our experience was very pleasant, however I was very disappointed by my steak. I had the dry aged NY strip and I thought the flavor profile of it, temperature (ordered MR and got M+), and presentation was severely underwhelming. You can go pretty far in most places spending $50-$60 on a steak, so I'd recommend going anywhere else. In addition to this, the calamari appetizer was a complete mess. It was a mound of mostly breadcrumbs stacked in a mound formation. Service was great, but I would recommend anywhere else for a high end experience. There's many chef-owned restaurants in the local Cincinnati Area.
