Willie's Sports Cafe is a popular spot known for its craveable wings and on-point French onion soup. The salads are generous and come with plenty of dressing. However, there have been instances where food took a long time to arrive, and there were issues with oil and vinegar for salads. The $16 nachos were a letdown for some, as the cheese was not melted but simply sprinkled cold on top. Overall, the food can be described as typical bar food with decent quality.
The establishment could use a good cleaning, but the bartender provides excellent service and drinks. Customers can order a sampler with parm-garlic wings, cajun rub wings, philly steak with onion rings, and chicken wings with onion rings. The parm-garlic wings could be better, as the cheese is simply sprinkled over the chicken, and the cheese sticks weren't cooked long enough.
The blackened grouper sandwich is a fantastic option, and the atmosphere, although a bit dated, is not bad. While some dishes like the Reuben and potato soup are delicious, the chicken meals have been described as overcooked and having a funky taste. The Caesar salad is good, but the dressing may be too much. Overall, Willie's Sports Cafe offers a typical sports bar experience with some hits and misses in the food department.
