Not overly enthusiastic about this place. Decided to stop by and give another place a shot and i was actually somewhat disappointed. The staff weren't as attentive as I'd have expected and right as we sat down to eat they all but vanished into the kitchen to talk. We had to ring a bell to get them for napkins. The food didnt seem to have any variations in spice level so it was hard for me to enjoy. The wallpaper being black and white and the look of the restaurant itself felt really industrial and not very welcoming.
Probably a good option for take out but i would not go back. The staff slipping away. Behind the counter to talk in the kitchen after we got our food was just weird. Shouldn't have to ring a bell when we were the only two there. I've been to busier places and staff check up on you every 5 to 10 minutes.
Couldn't definitely see this place doing better but as of now it's kind of a hole in the wall kind of place to me.
Very nice and let me and my son sit here while my sister charged her phone so we could pay. Clean inside and nice atmosphere. Good music 😁
Easy to find very nice establishment, clean and tidy inside and immediate service from the staff. I got an order to takeout so I didn’t have the pleasure to sit and have a fresh meal but I will say that they package everything very well and not only that all the food was excellent. I had the ramen Korean corn dog, the tonkotsu ramen, and a onigiri spicy tuna. Each one wasn’t not disappointing but I will say that the tuna has a kick to it, very spicy! Would recommend to any ramen lover as well as someone who would like to experience it for the first time. I will be back alpha ramen thank you! 👏
Best Ramen in town
The hype is real! Alpha Ramen served up some of the best bowls of noodles we've found in the city (and hands down the best vegetarian bowl of ramen I've ever eaten in my life). Speaking of which, the creamy vegetarian ramen was absolute perfection, from the springy and chewy alkaline noodles to the silky, unctuous, and slightly funky miso broth to the judicious sprinkling of fresh vegetables - just enough to keep everything else in balance. The curry beef udon was likewise exceptional, featuring well-seasoned beef and toothsome noodles swimming in a rich, smooth, and slightly tingly sauce. The steamed gyoza, by comparison, were mediocre at best, but the ramen was so flipping good we left satisfied regardless. The restaurant's whimsical decor - almost like dining inside a comic book or a manga - definitely added to the experience! Service was no frills, but prompt, which suited us fine. We'll be coming back several more times to eat our way through the rest of the menu.
Everything was good and we will be back.
This place was so cozy and cute, the staff members were very kind and helpful too. I ordered the creamy vegetarian ramen and it was SO GOOD. The mushrooms, the corn, green onions, everything was so delicious. The star of the show was definitely the egg. But the broth was so yummy and perfect for people who are beginner restaurant ramen eaters. I also ordered the purple yam brown sugar boba, which was very pretty and delicious, but was way too sweet. That could probably be adjusted with a simple request to add less sugar to the drink.
One person was working front and going back to help chef so took awhile to order. Person was also in hurry and rushed order along. Was out of one item I ordered, so purchased creamy ramen. Broth and food have no taste had to go home and add spices. Menu also looks different when you order for pickup versus when you order in person, online pickup was inexplicably shut down for over an hour.
Super cool place to eat!
Amazing food. I enjoy traveling and the first thing I do is search for ramen. Came across this place and it did not disappoint!!

It was such a treat to find this place in Cleveland after going to the Cleveland Clinic. We visited Japan from the end of March to beginning of April and it’s hard to find very authentic places. This is the most authentic that we’ve found in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Wow! Loved it! The person behind the counter was very nice too. My mom and I both had the Shrimp tempura ramen bowl with a few minor modifications. They were absolutely delicious. Super authentic! We had all different kinds of ramen all over Japan and this is definitely on par with what we had there. Such a wonderful surprise! Love the walls being painted to look like a city in Japan! So cute! We’ll definitely be back to try the pork buns, gyoza and onigiri. If you love Japanese food, do yourself a favor and try it. You won’t be sorry.
Their beef bowl is very good!

Great service, friendly atmosphere, but honestly the ramen broth lacked flavor and noodles tasted like an instant noodle. Not worth the price. I would rate this place behind issho ni ramen or otani ramen.

The Ramen was delicious and I was excited to try their takoyaki, I'd say best takoyaki I've had in Cleveland so far. My boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back here.
