What a hidden gem! Or at least for me it was until I found this place. Now I see they're on many best restaurant lists in Cleveland and for good reason.

I go to restaurants all the time and I've had plenty of good food, but this place is truly unique and special!!

The food is so good that I actually took my time to savor every single bite.

You can tell the quality of the food is incredible. You can see by their unique menu the amount of time they take to put these unique meals together. Although you can get typical breakfast items here I couldn't resist trying some of their interesting and different brunch meals.

The quality of the food is obvious. The unique and rich flavors of the food was different and nothing like I've had before. It was one of the most incredible meals I have ever had. Period.

I can't remember the name of what I got but it had short ribs with eggs and cheese and maybe some potatoes. It was also recommended by our server. It was absolutely incredible! It was packed full of flavor. It was savory, it was rich, and it was delicious. I took my time and savored every bite.

I will say at first I was disappointed at the portion sizes compared to the prices, but after trying the food the portion sizes were perfect. The food is that good, rich and flavorful that I didn't want it to end. I don't know how else to describe it. It was just that good.

My daughter had The Omelette which could not top the meal I had, but I was surprised at how good it was. I've clearly never had a good omelet prior to this one. I didn't realize what I was missing my whole life. I forgot to mention how fabulous their coffee was too.
Everything from their coffee to the food was top notch and perfect.

This place is truly unique and special and I highly recommend checking them out for brunch.

I was so hungry for the saganaki, it had been years since I enjoyed the dish. Nice place for those specialty foods you don't know you want.

Honestly pains me to do this because the food is good here but every time we try to come is a hassle. I called last week to get a reservation because we had a tight window of time and 5 people and was told they don’t take reservations for brunch and if we came before 11 we’d have no problem. We show up at 10:55am and am told they actuat DID take reservations for brunch this week including the patio and they couldn’t seat us (even though they had tons of tables). Go if you have the time to wait but if you want an easy in and out experience I don’t recommend.

A nice surprise in Gordon Square. I know it's not new, but new to me! An interesting menu. Croquet Madam was definitely not the dried out handheld you snatch on the streets of Paris. This was moist and full of savory flavor. The Bechamel was the best I've ever had, and trust me, I've tried many.

The cheese board was also very good with an impressive variety of cheeses, fruits and nuts.

I will definitely return.

It's nice if you want to treat yourself. But it's like 50 bucks for some cheese and berries.

Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Classic Cleveland experience. Authentic food with excellent quality. Our server was very informative. We were there on a Saturday, after the brunch, so we'll have to go back to experience the full menu.

We had the Toast and Jam Bread Board (Highly recommended!), Saganaki, and the Eggs Benedict, along with drinks of Kickin' it with Kiwi and Gettin' Figgy With It.
If you're a foodie, you'll love all the flavors, and while the drinks were delicious and unique, the food was so fantastic! It was a perfect morning for enjoying the covered outside patio, which had plenty of fans, plus a great cross breeze.
Can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu!

Best espresso martini ever!

Amazing brunch and good environment. They have a private room in the back of storage room but it’s quiet and lovely. Potato and French toast are great.

Johnny and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Astoria, 4/26/2025. What a wonderful experience! We started with an appetizer of Saganaki. Johnny chose the Chicken and Duck with jambalaya. It was so tasty. The duck was especially good as it had a crispy crust, but was juicy and very flavorful inside. I chose the Beef Short-rib étouffée. Probably the best short-ribs I’ve ever had. They were served with rice and asparagus. I can only say the étouffée sauce was incredible. As always the staff was wonderful. Astoria is definitely one of the treasures of the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood!

Attended a cheese class at Astoria tonight. WOW!! Such a fun and educational experience. We had a ball! Really appreciate Tom and the team.

Nice layout of restaurant to be around people, active, but not-too-loud . Food was was tasty but too salty. I asked the waitress to let the chef know. Will come again.
