Great option for pre-theater dining. The service was very attentive and everything was timed to ensure we made our show time. The Cibreo bolagnse was flavorful. The chicken marsala was one of the better versions I've had of this dish.

Beautiful restaurant, they don't play music but it was really nice, food was amazing. Our server was super kind as well. No complaints. One of the best dinner experiences I've had in a while.

I really hate to complain about food, but we had the seafood risotto and the risotto was very undercooked and needed more favor (some salt and pepper would have gone a long way). I’m typically not a picky eater, and my husband will eat anything, but both of us were like “no, that’s objectively bad”. Sorry for the bad review, but I hope they take the feedback and make it better!

Atmosphere is very nice, however, service was horrible. We were there for 45 mins before we even got our bread. Then when our meals came all 4 of our dishes were barely warm/borderline cold. Pretty disappointed overall.

My friend and I went for dinner before a show at Playhouse Square. She ordered the seafood risotto, and had to send it back. The scallops in the risotto were raw. I had the lasagna. It was barely warm, the edges were burned, not much sauce, excessive cheese between the mozzarella on top and the ricotta inside, and the flavor was average at best. The best part of the meal was the bread with pesto dip. Certainly not what we were expecting for the price we paid.

Great place for dinner before a show. I have eaten at Cibreo several times. Our server Kiara was great! The food is usually good. Last night I chose the salmon for $28.99. Unfortunately this was my least favorite of the menu items I’ve tried. The salmon was cooked to well done (asked for medium) and the entire dish including fingerling potatoes was smothered in red sauce. The sauce was ok but I have never had red sauce on potatoes! Not a good combo. The menu said the dish came with a spinach cream sauce which was nowhere to be found. The hard part about dinner before a show is there’s not time to send dishes back or I would have. The other 3 people in my party had no complaints about their dinners. Also tiramisu was very dry.

Decided to give this place a try even after seeing some negative reviews. At 7.30pm dinner time the place was empty and they told us that we have 15 minutes to place an order as the kitchen is closing. Kinda odd as most restaurants would want to stay open a bit later but then it all made sense. The place was empty, food was awful and if I were a restaurant I wouldn't bother staying open either.

We ate there following the matinee of Mamma Mia on Sunday. When I placed my order, I ordered lasagna and said that I’d like a to-go order of lasagna also. When my order arrived, it was huge. I ate almost half, asked for a box and requested she cancel my to go order, as this would be plenty for my husband. She said she could not because the order was already in. I was not happy about that, but did not argue. The huge mistake I made was not checking my to go order that of course was already boxed up. Imagine my shock when I opened it up tonight for our dinner, along with my left over lasagna, and that to go order was the same size portion as mine that was half eaten yesterday!!!!! Of course I was charged full price for what amounted to a half portion of their lasagna!!! So not only would she not honor my request to cancel the to go order, she only gave me a half portion and charged me full price. That’s terrible!!!! I will never eat there again, and caution anyone who does choose to go there.

Had very bad experience with the service. Went there to celebrate my mom's 72nd birthday. Our server wasn't very hospitable. He didn't introduce himself first of all. We asked for mozerella sticks, he said he was out of them. Asked for more bread and were told they were going to be out of bread after the refill. I felt like he didn't want to serve us and wanted to rush us out. Feel bad that we celebrated a special occasion here. Cod piccata that I ordered was greasy,no flavor and loaded with greasy baby potatoes. Tiramisu was not good. It was our first time visiting this restaurant and will be our last. Waste of money.

We were downtown to see a concert at Playhouse Square and Cibreo is directly across the street. The food was delicious, our waitress was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was amazing. When you add in the convenience of parking in a Playhouse Square parking garage and walking across the street to eat, and back across for your event it's a no brainer.

This place had wonderful atmosphere but terrible food. The service is also lacking. The food came out way too fast, and my lasagna was burnt. There seems to be no management. Even if the lasagna was burnt it wouldn't be good, too much mozzarella on the top and too greasy. I could also tell it was frozen. It fools you with fancy atmosphere and expensive menu, but the food isn't good. The only thing I really enjoyed was the caprese salad and the tiramisu, but it wasn't anything special. A real big disappointment.
