My friend and I went for dinner before a show at Playhouse Square. She ordered the seafood risotto, and had to send it back. The scallops in the risotto were raw. I had the lasagna. It was barely warm, the edges were burned, not much sauce, excessive cheese between the mozzarella on top and the ricotta inside, and the flavor was average at best. The best part of the meal was the bread with pesto dip. Certainly not what we were expecting for the price we paid.
Great place for dinner before a show. I have eaten at Cibreo several times. Our server Kiara was great! The food is usually good. Last night I chose the salmon for $28.99. Unfortunately this was my least favorite of the menu items I’ve tried. The salmon was cooked to well done (asked for medium) and the entire dish including fingerling potatoes was smothered in red sauce. The sauce was ok but I have never had red sauce on potatoes! Atmosphere is very nice, however, service was horrible. We were there for 45 mins before we even got our bread. Then when our meals came all 4 of our dishes were barely warm/borderline cold. Pretty disappointed overall.
