No matter how good your seafood is, if you're not open at the posted hours you can't sell any. Fortunately, Heinens had a case of King crab legs very reasonably priced that I purchased. Best of all, they were there at the posted hours of business.

First time at the West Side Market and saw that their salmon was nice and fresh. But their crab stuffed ones caught my eye so I decided to buy 2 fillets for dinner. I'm so glad I did because it came out delicious! I was told the crab meat had eggs and worcestershire sauce in it, a traditional crab cake recipe, it turned out really good. The quality of the fish was very fresh. I think the type of fish I got was $17.99/lb. A little steep but it was worth it because it was very flavorful. Looks like they have another location not far away where you can perhaps buy whole sale price. This booth sells at retail price. Service was friendly and courteous, I would return again! Their little neck clams looked great too. I'm dying to make white wine little necks in linguini! Yum!

UPDATE: i had ordered a case of lake perch and when i arrived to pick it up the stand was closed. i was frustrated and left a message on their facebook. katie quickly called me to apologize and rectify the situation. as a seafood lover i cannot wait to stop in tomorrow for some fresh fish. i understand mistakes happen and believe that misplacing my phone number or not calling before they closed was a one time error. both katie and also who i ordered from were incredibly professional and helpful on the phone and i trust my experience will be great going forward....but it wont let me change my response to recommend. so if you are reading this. I RECOMMEND classic seafood.
