My friends and I went this past weekend on my bday for the xmas bar. We absolutely felt the tension soon as we got there. Bar service was extremely rude and slow to serve us. We were of course the only people of color in there including staff. So that explains that. Unfortunate i had to experience such distasteful service on my birthday.

It gives "Speakeasy" vibes and exclusivity. The ambiance and atmosphere was amazing.

We bought early access into the foundation room before a concert at the house of blues. I’ll try to make this as easy to explain as possible because I did not feel the staff at HOB knew how to explain it to guests. Perks of purchasing this ticket: you skip the line outside, you have access to food and beverages at a cool bar inside/upstairs that other guests don’t. To get there you go down a back hallway and scan your foundation room ticket and go up an elevator (they make it feel very speakeasy). You do get to skip the lines getting into the concert but ask a staff member where to go. We had balcony seats and needed to ask a few people where the “hidden” door was (it is not marked but down a 1/2 flight of stairs). If you’re general admission into HOB you have to go back down the elevator or stairs to get into the concert but you still skip the lines which is nice. We happened to be there on a night when a local artist was playing in the fountain room which was cool. I feel he was better than the opening act at our concert! The bartenders could smile more, but service was quick for both food and drinks. You also have access to this bar and these restrooms during the concert if lines are long but it’s a hike if you’re general admission. All in all we would purchase this access again just to not wait in the long lines outside before the concerts.

The Foundation Room is a hidden gem that I love to frequent before and after shows at the House of Blues. The atmosphere is top notch, and they often have live music without a cover.

Worst experience ever!!!! at the foundation room, been going there for years, lately the staff and manager were horrendous!!! They kicked my friend out because the door guy yelled for her to take the stairs because too many people were in the elevator, never being there before she opened the door next to the elevator thinking it was the stairwell but it was an alcohol closet & was unlocked (negligence on their part). She immediately turned back around realizing it was a closet. The door guy kicked her out In 10 degrees weather called a security guard escorting her out while .treating her as a criminal. & not giving her a. chance to call an Uber. All because she mistakenly thought a closet was the staircase. Really a bunch of idiots working there!!! Who would put an alcohol in a closer unlocked next to an elevator that is in a busy area. The bartender was rude as F… and wanted to serve well drinks as opposed to a high shelf, a drink is a drink. Terrible experience ever, especially, after seeing an amazing band at the HOB, it completely turned the rest of the evening into a horrible experience. The customer experience has gone out the door… and saddest thing is the staff and manager were trash & did not care. Where is Jules? , he was the Bomb gave the best customer service, miss him!!!! It baffles me because I come from a generation were customers were of up most of importance and lately they just don’t care at all and are completely disrespectful to the customers, Customer service has gone down the tubes. I would not be surprised if the doors close soon at this location with that kind of operation . ☹️
