Papa Nick's Pizza & Pasta

The owner at Papa Nick's went above and beyond for hospitality, going as far as hunting down a high chair for our baby to use. The food was fantastic and satisfying, we will be eating here any time we find ourselves in the Cleveland area.

This is a West side Cleveland institution especially in the Clifton/ Edgewater/ Cudell neighborhoods. Food is affordable and excellent.

After reading other great reviews, we made Papa Nick's our go to pizza place on our last day visiting in Cleveland. So glad we did!
The guy at the counter was super nice when we placed our pizza order. He brought everything over to our table and chatted a bit. While we were eating, Phil, the owner came over to ask how everything was. The pizza was excellent with super tasty dough and a very generous portion of toppings. The sauce was excellent, tomatoey and spiced perfectly and not sweet which is how I like it. We chatted for quite awhile as we had common ties to Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Great guy! Great food. We'll be back!

The food is fine and everything, but the place smells like pizza/spaghetti, that rotted 45 years ago. The bathrooms are in the basement and they smell terrible. This place needs a air freshener, because if it’s gonna smell bad like that, nobody will wanna come into your pizza shop.

I’ve been going to Papa Nicks since the 1990’s but had’t been in a long time. I was so saddened to see that the charming interior has been completely removed, replaced by ugly black carpet (that smells musty), pull down black blinds, high top tables and a TV plastered on the wall. The ambience is a zero. What a shame that zero thought has been put into the decor. C’mon P Nicks you can do better than this..
The food is fantastic as I’ve always remembered, especially the antipasta salad and calzone big enough to share!
But I would only do take out in the future.

We were in on a Saturday for lunch and were the only patrons. We had two chicken parmesan and a lasagna in our group. Everything was delicious, hot, and large portions so we all took food home. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Even though we do not live in the area we will definitely make the trek from the East side soonto try the pizza.

Have dined here since it opened, and the food is excellent, whether you dine in or order carryout. If you haven't gone there, or if you haven't been there recently, stop in. Mama's sauce and pasta, Buffalo chicken pizza, salads, chicken parmesan...all are great. Service is personal; portions are generous.
