I attend St. John Cantius regularly and very much enjoy this church. Father Roach is a great preacher and I never drift when listening to his sermons. The church is beautiful. If you are near the Tremont area, I highly recommend checking out St. John Cantius even if you cannot attend mass there.

Don't see any German church festival called "half way to Oktoberfest Day" or Irish church festival "half way to St. Pat's Day" or Italian church festival "half way to Columbus Day". Please remove the half way to dyngus day designation for the annual church festival. It's a bad idea and just plain Wrong. The group that push dyngus think it's fun and trendy to lampoon and mock Polish culture. Dyngus is not even a thing in Poland. How about celebrating Matka Boska Chestowa our Lady the Black Madonna feast day?

One of the most Beautiful churches anywhere.

One of the catholic/orthodox religious institutions of Tremont. This Roman Catholic Church is dedicated to St. John Cantius (Kanty) (1390-1473), Patron of Poland & Lithuania. His feast day is 23 December. The parish has an associated school next door.

St John Cantius is a historic church in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. One hundred years ago this parish served Polish immigrants, but today the parishioners are a very diverse group. If you are interested in historic Polish parishes also check out Saint Casimir on Sowinski. The beauty of inner city churches intrigues me.
