Susy's Soup & Deli Reserve Square

I do not like to complain since I know things happen. I ordered a wrap online that did not have bacon when I got it back to my office. I went back and got the wrap replaced but they didn’t follow the special instructions put on the first online order so I cannot eat this wrap either. I can’t go back since I am on the clock now. I go all the time and would prefer to just speak with them as opposed to leaving this review, however the phone line is now non working.

Susy's was good. I got a big order for the whole family for takeout. The wait time was not long. Everyone said their food was good. My father said the chicken noodle soup was delicious.

So I walked into the reserve square location. I approach the counter and the cashier is on his phone. I had to greet him to get his attention. No smile no enthusiasm. Did not seem to want be there. Very off putting.

Order a turkey sandwich on ciabetta with bacon, cheese, jalapeno, and cup of soup. Got back to work opened up my sandwich and there was jalapeno. Not one jalapeno. And the cup of soup was only filled half way. Felt like a wasted my money.

Order the chicken gumbo soup. Being that I am from New Orleans Louisiana this is not gumbo had a nice taste but it was missing some key elements that would make it gumbo. The vegetables was very chunky. Overall nice place. Nice atmosphere. Good customer service just needs a little work.

I have been coming to Susy's for lunch for almost 3 months now, it is always such a pleasant time coming in, always greeted when I walk in, staff remembers me. And the food is absolutely amazing. 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great budget friendly meal

Very helpful and friendly staff.Soups and sandwich’s are hot and fresh.Most importantly it’s very consistent.A million times better than anything in this area downtown. Try the Rueben.

I ordered the Grilled Turkey Ciabatta and the Wednesday soup, which was the Chicken Gumbo. I think the sandwich was tasty and not worth $10.59. It was a little ciabatta sandwich and doesn't come with chips or anything. Oh wait, it did come with a pickle spear. Maybe it's due to inflation and the location being downtown that the sandwiches are so expensive for what they are? ??‍♀️ The gumbo was okay, not bad but also not something I'd order again. It was convenient to be able to order online for pick up. The order was ready pretty much when I got there which was a couple minutes before the time they said it'd be ready.
