Susy's Soup & Deli Reserve Square

I stopped by Susy’s today at 3:50 PM, just 10 minutes before their posted closing time of 4:00, hoping to grab something to go. Unfortunately, the doors were already locked and it looked like they were cleaning up early.

I try not to cut it that close to closing, but figured with 10 minutes left I could still grab something quick. I understand staff might want to wrap up early, but it was disappointing not to be able to order anything—especially when the hours suggest otherwise.

Just a heads-up if you’re planning to swing by close to closing—might be best to arrive earlier or call ahead.

First time ordering from this location and the staff was super friendly and patient with me as I ordered. I loved that the guy who serviced me took off his gloves and put new gloves on before making my order which I always look for in a food service business. The place was overall very clean. I did order 2 different wraps to go but was disappointed in the taste of the chicken wrap (the chicken did not taste fresh) and the other wrap lacked enough ingredients compared to how I remembered it tasting from the TowerCity location I had lunch at in the past.

I have eaten at Susy's when i worked downtown Cleveland and their soup is amazing. Today, I have another reason to give them a GREAT review. I had purchased a gift card for one of my coworkers who also LOVES them, and made an error on the phone number they were to deliver the gift card to. I had called them and they looked into it and helped to correct my error. I appreciate not only their great soup but also their great customer service. Thank you for being amazing !!!

Pretty tasty food. The chili is really good.

Good selection. Prices are about comparable with other similar delis downtown.

I like to order online for pickup.

Four stars only because two times I've ordered, my order was missing an item. The first time I was missing a cookie. Today I was missing cornbread. Unfortunately I didn't notice the missing items until I got back to the office.

This place is sooooo good I always get the chicken paprikash it’s very filling and fresh taste homemade full of chicken plus you get fresh piece of bread and butter. The staff is very polite. I have always been greeted by front house, and the cooks.the best part it’s affordable

I do not like to complain since I know things happen. I ordered a wrap online that did not have bacon when I got it back to my office. I went back and got the wrap replaced but they didn’t follow the special instructions put on the first online order so I cannot eat this wrap either. I can’t go back since I am on the clock now. I go all the time and would prefer to just speak with them as opposed to leaving this review, however the phone line is now non working.

Susy's was good. I got a big order for the whole family for takeout. The wait time was not long. Everyone said their food was good. My father said the chicken noodle soup was delicious.

So I walked into the reserve square location. I approach the counter and the cashier is on his phone. I had to greet him to get his attention. No smile no enthusiasm. Did not seem to want be there. Very off putting.

Order a turkey sandwich on ciabetta with bacon, cheese, jalapeno, and cup of soup. Got back to work opened up my sandwich and there was jalapeno. Not one jalapeno. And the cup of soup was only filled half way. Felt like a wasted my money.

Order the chicken gumbo soup. Being that I am from New Orleans Louisiana this is not gumbo had a nice taste but it was missing some key elements that would make it gumbo. The vegetables was very chunky. Overall nice place. Nice atmosphere. Good customer service just needs a little work.
