I visited Tandul for the first time in about a month. i placed a take out order as always. I noticed the bowl sized seemed small, i grabbed the same container they gave me last time and it’s half the size. i called to ask if it was a mistake or if that is the new size. Worker seemed very confused and just fumbled over her words stating that’s the size. Very disappointed it was always a good restaurant… also the naan looks like someone shoved their hand thru it. Will not be returning if that’s the size.

This place was quaint but delicious. Service was fast and everything we ordered was fire. The garlic naan alone will have me coming back.

Tandul in Ohio offers flavorful Indian cuisine with generous portions, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. A great spot for classic curries, biryani, and satisfying vegetarian options.

Ordered Tandul off Uber Eats. While food is tasty, what kind of India restaurant charges the prices they do and does not include any rice with their curries. Portion sizes are on the smaller side and honestly I’m left feeling like I got ripped off. The food isn’t good enough to overcome this experience.

The goat biryani was absolutely delicious a true celebration of flavour and tradition. The rice was perfectly cooked, each grain separate and infused with rich spices, while the goat meat was tender, juicy, and slow-cooked to perfection. Every bite carried deep, aromatic notes of saffron, whole spices, and caramelised onions that blended beautifully without overpowering the natural taste of the meat.

What truly stood out was the balance: bold yet refined, spicy yet comforting. The goat was so well-marinated that it practically melted in the mouth, releasing layers of flavour that lingered long after the last bite. Served hot and fresh, this biryani wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience.

Simply put, this goat biryani was exceptional: hearty, fragrant, and irresistibly satisfying. A must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic, soulful food. 🍛✨

Ok so the reviews were spot on.... after coming to this place for the past 10 years, we've officially decided that last night was our last night. The place was overall unkempt, everyone was in the kitchen except one guy, service was crummy at best. They only care about their take out orders - and they got a couple of them wrong while we were there. It was dirty, cold and unwelcoming. What a shame.

We ordered $450+ of takeout for a family gathering and were utterly disappointed. Nothing was labeled and it was very difficult to tell one item from another, which was a problem since some of us were vegetarian. Flavors generally were good, but preparation and presentation were poor, and the order was sloppily put together. For example, we ordered Kashmiri na’an, garlic na’an, chili na’an and butter na’an. It was impossible to distinguish between them. We ordered special biryani and vegetable biryani; each consisted of a plastic container jammed with plain rice, topped with some kind of sauce and a few ‘chunks’ of either meat or vegetable. Gross. That is not biryani. I wanted to love this place as I love Indian food and it usually holds up well to takeout. There is excuse for what we received.
