I wanted to like this restaurant so much. But the attention to detail when we visited for the brunch buffet was just lacking.
The good:
-Food was good. We especially enjoyed the macaroni, steak, and macrons.
-The manager Josie was excellent and took the time to hear our concerns.
The bad:
-When we reserved we requested specifically for the lounge but were sat in the main dining room in a corner right by the kitchen. The table next to us was uncomfortably close with a loud group. When I asked about it I was told that there was no open space in the lounge area and we’d have to wait and the hostess argued with me about how I made the reservation even after pulling up the confirmation on my phone.
-Being next to the kitchen, staff had music on loudly that was overpowering the music being played in the main dining area. The ambiance the restaurant was trying to pull off at that point just fell flat. The environment was overstimulating. Two kinds of music playing, loud kitchen, lots of people passing to set up a party.
-Server did not want to take the time to answer questions or even get drink orders. She slammed things down on our table and was very dismissive. We felt like we were a burden.
-Nit-picky about the food- but when you have an oyster presentation typically they’re shucked in a way that detaches the foot (or presented with small forks) and served with mignonette sauce and lemon as well as cocktail sauce. These oysters weren’t prepared or presented well. The sirloin was mis-labeled as prime rib. Prime rib was not an offering at all. Grits could have used more butter and salt. While it’s a pretty presentation, unless it’s cocktail shrimp, the tail on shrimp served in hot food should be removed in the kitchen.
Overall- tasty and with a few changes could have been wonderful. We’ll give you a try again next time we’re in the area.

Kahdar, and his team in less than a week put together and hosted us an AMAZING party. We were blown away by the service and the beautiful main ballroom. Everything was perfect, from the custom ordered roasted pigs for the buffet, steak sit down dinners, custom menu buffet reception, full open bar and more. Our guests were blown away. Oh, also as the cherry on top, worked within our budget and the BEST deal in Cleveland. We highly recommend this venue!” WITHOUT A DOUBT..... Thank you for another wonderful evening at The Aviator. My two friends and I had such a lovely evening with much of our enjoyment due to our capable and considerate server, Christina. Christina was very knowledgeable of the menu and when we were uncertain of ordering a particular sauce, she readily provided us a small sample. I ordered the Brussel sprout salad. The greens and veggies were very fresh, delicious and the generous portion could easily be shared with one or two others. Christina suggested the apple pie a la mode for dessert (three spoons!) and it did not disappoint. During the evening, the manager Jocelyn stopped by to check on us to insure all was well. Much appreciated! The Aviator is a wonderful venue, beautifully decorated for the season with an extensive menu. Highly recommend!

The Aviator has to be one of the best restaurants in the Cleveland area. The staff here is unbelievable always and the food never misses. The management here is always so attentive and very welcoming/appreciate of the patrons. If you have never been here, this is a must to visit!

The planning details were handled flawlessly, thanks to Jen, the planning coordinator.. She was terrific—such a good listener with great attention to detail, making the entire process stress-free. The food was amazing, with all of our guests raving about it. The staff all worked together to ensure we had a wonderful time.
