What an amazing place! A hidden gem, the food is S-tier for an American Japanese restaurant. The chef really knows what he's doing. Small plates to share and good alcohol to sip. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

I have been meaning to check this place our for a while now, but I finally got to celebrate my birthday there recently and was completely blown away by the entire experience. We passed around all our snacks and drinks so we can try as much as we could, and it was all fantastic. The staff rules, the vibe is right, and we'll all be regulars now!

Our first experience here was exceptional! Our party included vegans, vegetarians and omnivores and they were able to accommodate us on the fly seamlessly. Kevin took great care of us and made our experience especially memorable. Rachel was so friendly and provided great service. We also enjoyed the Power Hour drinks. I do wish there were more non-fried options on the menu. Also the playlist was fabulous!Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly selection!

My expectations of this place may have been spiked by the fact that it's borderline impossible to get in here, unless luck is on your side. I've casually tried to snipe a spot for months and just happened to sneak in when a table was leaving. You can't place reservations so you're crossing your fingers on this. Really, the place is just small, and you forget because it's next to Martha's. It's not super dazzing, but that's kind of the point - it's a cozy hole in the wall kind of place. Good gyoza and good drinks, you can probably pick better shows than Cheaters and Fear Factor though..

The food was pretty good. We ordered some appetizers and kebabs. I wish the veggie and protein kebabs came out together. The food took an unusually long time and the restaurant is very small and only seats 6-7 parties. The service was awful. No one filled our water the entire meal even when asking for it twice. I wouldn’t go again, the food was just okay. It was expensive for what it was.

I went here on a date and it's a cute little place. Our server was really nice and helped me decide what to order. The menu apparently changes often so don't get too attached to an item however everything I had was amazing. I got a pork belly steamed bun and a katsu sandwich with some Japanese vodka (all selected off the recommendation of my server). It was low key if you're looking for a little relief in the Tremont area

I really liked this place, it's small but has a wonderful atmosphere and really good food. I tried frog legs here for the first time, an interesting experience that I'd recommend everyone atleast try.The price is a little high, but for the area is quite affordable. Totally worth it in my opinion.

One of the best hidden gems in Tremont. It’s super cool without trying too hard for Instagram, and it’s welcoming and delicious besides being an awesome atmosphere. Takoyaki is great, as is everything on the omakase and the katsu.

staff wasn't friendly or helpful. and while I understand that people have bad days, just because you hate yourself and the life you have created for yourself doesn't mean you get to take that frustration out on me.this place stinks on ice. zero point zero.

The only redeeming quality is the atmosphere if you'd like to stop in for a drink. However, the quantity and quality of what you get for the price of the food simply isn't worth it. I was pretentious enough to go there, and the food delivered the same attitude.

Disappointing. Food was mediocre, most meat skewers were flavorless, veggie skewers were at least fresh. Menu otherwise lacks the diversity you'd expect from a quality yakitori place. Besides the food, the service was absolutely sad. Server seemed extremely disinterested in being in the restaurant and left several times out of the restaurant. Made mistakes with the check and with orders. Saw several customers come in and leave since they weren't greeted by anyone. Staff in the back/cooks seemed kinder and more invested than their front staff.Space is not well thought out and seems crowded and inefficient.
