I Was there a couple weeks ago . Place smelled like there was a busted sewer line . Had French toast it had absolutely no flavor and the biscuits and gravy tasted like old lard . I sat for 10 minutes waiting for a server to take my order for drinks. Then another party came in sat down and a guy came from the back took their order and left us high and dry. The waitress was coughing sneezing everywhere. In my 20 years going to the whip I’ve never had service like that with that being said i will never be going back!!-my dad

The Whip Restaurant is a cozy spot known for its comforting atmosphere and hearty meals. It used to be a favorite for affordable greasy spoon breakfasts, although recent changes in staff, menu, and pricing have led to some inconsistency in the quality of dishes like their once-famous grits. Despite the price increase, customers still find good breakfast options, including the well-loved stuffed cabbage (Golabki), which is described as delicious and reminiscent of home cooking. The service is friendly, with staff often taking on multiple roles to keep things running smoothly. Although some diners noted that the dining area could be cleaner, the open kitchen appears well-maintained. With generous portions and a welcoming vibe, The Whip Restaurant remains a beloved choice for those seeking home-cooked meals and a taste of nostalgia.
