First time at Bistro 4 0 7, and we had the Cod Entree and Eggs and Goetta off the breakfast menu. Both were all fresh and delicious. Love that they offer the breakfast all day as well. Sandy took very good care of us, and went over the menu.
Can’t wait to go back and try something else. Also, the Farmhouse decor was so homey, loved how when you first walk in you see all the great dessert!! Great job!!! 😋 👏 👏
AMAZING FOOD!!! Everything we saw that came out of the kitchen was incredible looking!! FIVE STARS from us on our huge table of food- kid’s quesadilla, carnivore skillet, biscuits and gravy, and best of all pancake with chattily cream!! We had stopped coming here due to previous ownership. We decided to give it a try once it became Bistro 407. It is a night and day difference when you walk in. And even though there are employees there from previous, the smiles are bigger and the tones are friendlier. Kudos to the ownership, you know how to treat your work family right. As far as the food, AMAZING!!! My husband had the catfish on Friday, I’ve obsessed about it since and had to come get some today. Keep it up!...read full review

Bistro 4.0.7 offers a smaller menu but at a higher price point compared to its previous ownership. Despite the changes, it remains a cozy and slightly upscale establishment. The friendly staff provide attentive service, and the diverse menu items, such as grilled cod, baked potato with grilled veggies, and a hearty Southern BBQ cheeseburger, are well-received by diners. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, making it a welcoming choice for all.
Customers praise the exceptional food, with many highlighting the breakfast as "fabulous" and the Kentucky Hot Brown as "better than any in Louisville." The breakfast menu includes items like eggs and goetta, available all day, and the potato skins are fresh and homemade, with crispy bacon and plenty of cheese. The Yellow Jacket burger is delicious, and the grilled veggies are amazing. Diners also enjoy a Bistro Brew, a coffee with whisky and whipped cream. The pancake with Chantilly cream is often called the best they’ve ever had, and the atmosphere is described as homey and inviting, with great desserts visible upon entering.
The owners and chef are highly regarded, with customers emphasizing the "wonderful service" and "impeccable" hospitality. The staff, including Sandy, go over the menu thoroughly and make guests feel at home. The owners make an effort to learn customers' names and greet them warmly, creating a "hometown feel with love and pride." Many visitors have noted a significant improvement since the transition to Bistro 4.0.7, with bigger smiles and friendlier tones from the staff. Returning customers praise the food, especially the catfish, and plan to become regulars.
