“We went to Joey's Kendal Tavern on a Tuesday evening with our daughter and enjoyed a great meal! The best thing about "the Kendal", is the variety of food on the menu. I had shrimp, my husband had pork chops and our daughter had a buffalo chicken wrap that was so big she took half home! All of the food was delicious. The waitress was friendly. Our food came out quickly even though there were two other large groups of people there. We will return!“

“Now I can’t remember the smash burger I had but I know it had the house specialty sauce. In the first bite, the flavors of each item combined create the taste of fresh ingredients. The beef is fresh and local, as in a few miles away local. Everything that makes up that burger was local. I wish I had a picture to show but I smashed it with the quickness. The taste of that juicy burger left me separated from reality until there was nothing left. At that point I zapped back into reality so I didn’t get a pic. I’ll for sure be back again and hopefully get a picture for you all. Also, in the back, the kitchen is impressively clean. It looked as if they had just moved in that day. I arrived just before closing hours and a manager showed me the operations in the back while my burger was being made. Retro Burger has an excellent standard and that is why I’m recommending it. A negative experience with any business should always be addressed with the business owner first. An owner should always be made aware of any potential issues. “I'm 35, and I've been going to the Main St saloon since I could remember. 5-6yrs old. Back when they had the .99 cent jumbo burger, and the boxing in the basement (I was too young to actually go down there) This place holds so many fond memories along with amazing great good, vibes, and energy. Definitely will definitely stay in the top 3 of my favorite food joints.“

“It has been a long time since I have been in this bar. Pool leage brought us here. Wow!! Who ever cleaned this place up,you did a knock out job. Congrats to all involved. An a very well kept pool table. I remember a day when you have to beat your way out of this place. Not anymore. This is a very well run bar. Very clean. I would definitely return. Would not mind making it my hang out spot. But it's on the other side of town. That is the only reason I have not been back yet. Good place to take a date,or just hanging out with the work crew. “This is a great little neighborhood bar and grille. The food here is surprisingly great. Our party was of 12 people and we all ordered different dishes. Everyone was well pleased with their order. The servers at the canal boat lounge are very attentive and cordial to their guests, nice little family vibe.“

“This place has the best wings in the area and it’s not very close but they also have other phenomenal stuff to eat as well, like any of their appetizers are delicious.The employees are also the best in the area. “After driving past this dining gem on S Main for years, wondering if we'd enjoy the place, we stopped in this past Saturday at around 4PM to get a late afternoon meal. We were seated almost immediately in a spotless booth with soft lighting, provided menus with an endless array of offerings, and asked for our beverage order. Suffice it to say we were impressed by the immediate service given to us by Felicia, and her ability to make us feel welcomed! The bleucheese burger we shared was perfect, French fries were very hot and crispy, and the house salad was accompanied by two house-made dressings, a creamy white French and a balsamic...both were outstanding, and the servings were enough to provide dipping sauces for the fries. We believe we have found the neighborhood tavern we've been seeking since moving to Akron in 2018! Sure, the burger prices were a bit high, but in keeping with the disastrous economic times. Super neighborhood spot for dining, libations, and tv viewing. And the friendly staff is the icing on the cake, actually on the incredibly sinfully deeelicious bread pudding!“

“Was there for Stark Art. Nice and friendly atmosphere. The have daily specials on food and drinks. We tried a variety of the specials and were not disappointed. Our bartender was amazing. While we went to the other side to start painting it seem that Americans Idiol broke out. The rest of the night was truly enjoyable. I suggest you try this as a couple. I was the only guy there but I did have tihere and the instructor was top notch. She walked the class through every step. Worth every dollar!!!“

“Had the sampler , which had chicken strips, fries, mozzarella sticks,onion rings, and jalapeño poppers. The chicken was great, the breading was flavorful.the fries are average, needed a little salt to fix. Mozzarella sticks were great all around. Poppers were good if you like poppers, I’m more of a grilled popper guy, these are fried . Onion rings were good but not anything to ride home about. Also ordered fried pickles, hush puppies and a grizzly burger.the pickles were spears, I prefer chips, could’ve used more breading. The hush puppies were something to ride home about, great flavor, and the grizzly burger was fantastic, who would’ve thunk salami on a burger. The biggest kicker is the prices, super cheap, which was wild for how good most of the food was. Bartender was really cool.“

“Should be renamed to Spunkmeyers 'Identity Struggles'. It's a pub that serves your typical American fare that's also a country bar.? If you don't mind the music the food can be pretty good, but with that being said, it's also very much hit 'n miss. Good one day terrible the next.Service is slow. Do not come here in a rush. Expect to be there for at very minimum an hour. Doesn't matter if it's lunch on a Tuesday and your one of three people there or bar rush. Gonna be an hour at least.Lastly, with the newest owners, they seem to be in pursuit of constantly changing their menu items. Doesn't matter if it's been a well established meal there for X amount of time or not. For example you've always been able to order a Steak Philly here and expect a decent sub. Nothing fancy just a Philly and been around ages. Now without warning it comes with a spicy relish on it. Combine that with the sub-par service/cook relationship and your going to eat spicy relish on it weather you want to or not. Now if that's not an issue with you then it's totally worth the visit.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids under 12 eat free on Mondays running deal every week that most people don't seem to know about or take advantage of.“

“Came here for the first time with 2 of my buddies last sunday . One of them, Ken, I believe, is a regular. Let me tell you this is not your typical overly greased deep-fried bar food. The California burger was top shelf. Vegetables fresh. Lettuce wasn't all warm and limp. Fried pickles and just the right amount of breading. I was impressed that this food was coming out of a "bar" kitchen. 5 stars all the way. I will definitely be back. The staff was super friendly too, I had a full conversation with someone waiting to go on shift about amazon prime TV shows lol this is the kind of lunch time energy I'm looking for in a bar and I don't even drink alcohol. The prices are good too. Very reasonable and the bar tender doesn't hover over you looking to see what you tip. I gave her 5% more purely for the courtesy lol keep it up guys I don't have one bad thing to say about this place!“

“Finally stopped in after seeing it on social media. It's a small dive bar but don't let that fool you, the food was very good. I had a meatball sub and the meatballs tasted homemade.Met the owner and she was super friendly and talked with our group about the place. It was are servers first day, but she did very well.
