really cool place! it’s a nice seating area with nice lights!
Love this place, but deeply bummed that they curtailed their evening hours — used to be a great fit with the hours of XClaim Dance Co. 😕
ETA: Now they have cut hours even more and close at 3pm. So, guess I won’t be going there anymore.
The workers were very friendly and service was quick, however when we ordered sandwiches, we weren’t expecting them to be half a sandwich. $8.50 for HALF of a sandwich is quite crazy. I got the turkey bacon which is $7.00 and $8.50 with a $1.50 extra for adding on egg. Also $1.50 for 1 single egg is crazy considering you can buy eggs at walmart for roughly $5 which puts you at $0.42 per egg, and I’m sure businesses get them cheaper due to wholesale values. Also, not a big deal but we ordered our food to go and our sandwiches were given to us on plates.
Cinnamon late was delicious. Nice place where you can sit and enjoy your coffee!
The medium roast drip coffee was mediocre. I found the seating uncomfortable and overall I just wasn’t a fan of the atmosphere. The service was good though and the people are friendly.

I got the apple pie latte. It was pretty good. Never had one before, so it's hard to compare it to others. I would recommend it. Seems like a nice place to sit and chat with a friend or just by yourself like I did.

Decent place, service is a little slow but not too bad. Was a bit warm inside
A wonderful hangout place! It may take 15min on feet to get to the campus. They only serve coffee, sandwiches and several pastries, but everything on the menu is tasty and cheap. They also have plenty of big tables and sofa seats for board games, puzzles, or other great games. WiFi is always fast. I enjoy spending a chill time at this place.

Awesome gem of Columbus! Huge coffee shop in the basement of the church. Free printing and a no purchase necessary policy that gives the space such a safe and inclusive energy. Great for studying-- always quiet and they play chill music. I love their drinks too- the cardamom rose latte is heavenly. Highly recommend visiting! Close to campus and sometimes you'll see a friend!

I read below that the coffee was "basic" which I think is an insult to the roaster. Having had pour over coffees from literally all over the country, this was 1 of the 5 best cups I have probably had in the last few years. So good that we literally came back 2 hours later for more.Location is interesting, the basement of a church. Sad that they are not open on weekends though I guess that whole church service thing may take precedence?Service was great, the guy behind the counter talked out some of the beans, roasting process a little. Seemed genuinely a good person which is appreciated.Vibe is chill/relaxed. Compare to (as an example) Fox in Snow which is chaos defined.

The art group I'm a part of meets here. We've been to several different places but Coffee Underground is by far the best location for making art. We move the tables around and they're cool with it. If you see us, please feel free to join.I head here after work so I typically want to eat something before getting here. They have pastries and bagels but I want a proper dinner. I'm fond of their hot chocolate, though. If I could make a suggestion, I'd consider announcing all orders? My hot chocolate is always announced but some of my pals have ordered chai or something and no notification was made that it was done so it was just sitting on the counter getting cold ? It's pretty quiet in here so if the staff said something, it was inaudible. There's free wifi. A playlist of folk/alt rock that falls outside of my tastes is always playing. Turn the funk/prog rock on!!!
Kid-friendliness: Much like a library, there are minors here who hang out and they seem comfortable and safe. The one's I've seen who appeared under 16 were well behaved.

I mean I come here all the time. Coffee is pretty good. Workers are aight I like em. My favorite coffee shop that exists beneath a church. But like they excavated the area beneath its not just like dirt.

The perfect calm atmosphere to study, chill, read a book, or relax! The coffee is really good and the price is solid as well. Highly recommend!
